I would have been extremely happy if the camera had just shown Scott in those final few minutes so we could fully enjoy his surly loser expression!

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

Amazing how the mouthpeices in the media talked up that we had an average team in 2009 but an awesome coachshanegrambeau wrote: ↑Sun 25 Oct 2020 10:28am I admit to one pang during last night,

Only one team, has ever come back
From a 3/4 time deficit and won it..
In the last 35 years..
..in 2009.
Oouuuuccccchhhh!
That littel stat might help rewrite the myth. Lyon's record in finals is nearly as bad as Scott's
...average teams don't win 19 games in a row and thrash teams in home and away
...Yorkeys posted a good thread with the same theme/ Coach continually losing big finals and deflecting /making excuses.

Felt the same in 2016.SaintPelican66 wrote: ↑Sun 25 Oct 2020 1:20amIt was obviously shocking to lose 1997, 2009 and 2010 but the worst feeling was watching Footscray winning in 2016. Our 2009 team would have smashed them. Our 2010 team would have beaten them and probably our 1997 team would have beaten them as well. Yet they have their second flag and we are still stranded on just one.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sat 24 Oct 2020 6:01pm For 54 years now we have watched teams and their supporters celebrating achieving the pinnacle of our game.
But it's never us.
No fond Grand Final memories.
Just despair and wondering if we will ever ever EVER see the day.
When Sydney won in 05 I thought WTF.
Then WC who were below us won the following year.
Geelong, then Hawthorn who were rebuilding...
It was then supposed to be our turn after we got a second wind....we know how that worked out.
2016 was terrible and in 2017 I thought, f*** this..
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
