Re: Josh Dunkley??
This boy is a gun and a lot bigger bodied than he looks on the field (has the boyish looks his old man has / had). His brother can also play but just got delisted by the Demons.
I'll call in and sound out his old man tomorrow, although he will be more interested in selling me a new tractor!

Didn't the old man play reserves footy for the saints?Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Mon 19 Oct 2020 7:40pm This boy is a gun and a lot bigger bodied than he looks on the field (has the boyish looks his old man has / had). His brother can also play but just got delisted by the Demons.

Re: Josh Dunkley??
He certainly did . I was amazed when he made it with Sydney, as he did not look the goods for us. His son however would be a very handy acquisition.saynta wrote: ↑Mon 19 Oct 2020 7:52pmDidn't the old man play reserves footy for the saints?Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Mon 19 Oct 2020 7:40pm This boy is a gun and a lot bigger bodied than he looks on the field (has the boyish looks his old man has / had). Re: Josh Dunkley??
He is 23, played 78 games and his top 10 disposal games are 41,39,39,38, 36, 36, 35,35,33,33
His top 10 goals for a match are 3,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,2
Only played 12 games this year not sure what his injury was and Libba back playing regularly may of contributed to lower numbers this season
Why would he leave, has it been spoken about from his end?

Re: Josh Dunkley??
Andrew was recruited to Sydney from North Launceston but grew up with three footballing brothers, all top country players, near Yarram. He played all his footy for Devon in the Alberton league. StKilda would have gone cold on him because his kicking would make Clint Jones look like Barry Cable and Jayson Daniels look like Ian Stewart. Yes, that bad!George27 wrote: ↑Mon 19 Oct 2020 8:24pmHe certainly did . I was amazed when he made it with Sydney, as he did not look the goods for us. His marking, however, was from another galaxy. I've seen very few players who could leap and hand in the air like he could. And he had the rest of the package to make a star player, which he was. And a lovely bloke too.

Re: Josh Dunkley??
Would Billings and our first round pick get him to the Saints???
Maybe throw in Lonie as steak knives with late pick coming back our way?
I know I said in another thread that I’d keep Billings, but if we could get Dunkley I’d be happy to let him go.

Re: Josh Dunkley??
Over valuing Dunkley I would think.
I’d rather keep Billings, Lonie and our first rounder.

Re: Josh Dunkley??
Ok drop the 1st pick out of the equation, I didn’t mean to put that in there, and just add Lonie for steak knives.longtimesaint wrote: ↑Mon 26 Oct 2020 6:32pm Over valuing Dunkley I would think.

Billings and Dunkley would be on around the same money I’d imagine, but Dunkley is a goal kicking mid who would give us more grunt through the middle and we could push Zac Jones our onto the wing.
C - Hill Steele Jones
R - Ryder Crouch Dunkley
With Gresham, Hanners, Sinclair, Bytel, Ross , Clark and maybe Coffield rotating through there.

Re: Josh Dunkley??
3hrs to go, could we throw a spanner in the works at the Bombers and grab Dunkley out from under their noses?
Then they could give us a 2nd or 3rd round pick for Ross or Dunstan.
