We can dream ... right?
QF1: *PORT ADELAIDE* v Geelong
QF2: Brisbane Lions v *RICHMOND*
EF1: *WEST COAST* v Collingwood
EF2: *ST KILDA* v Western Bulldogs
SF1: *GEELONG* v West Coast
SF2: Brisbane Lions v *ST KILDA*
PF1: Port Adelaide v *ST KILDA*

p.s. I used this website: https://predictor.squiggle.com.au/
You click on the teams you think will win each game .. and then at the end you click on the button "save & copy" and choose "text", and then just paste it into your reply (and delete the ladder).

Re: Finals Predictor
In theory that almost works, as we've beaten the Dogs, Port and Richmond this year, and nearly the Lions.
If we come out and look great (like rounds 2-9) against the Dogs, who knows...

Re: Finals Predictor
It would be classic St Kilda if we won the Grand Final this year. The year where none of us can go to watch live, it's away from the MCG and nobody will acknowledge the achievement except us.
And not to mention, we wouldn't even be able to celebrate the win with our mates or go to Moorabbin because of the Pandemic / Pestilence.

We can make a PF I reckon.

Re: Finals Predictor
I like it but Geelong made Port look second rate last time they played.
Reckon we can beat anyone but Geelong. They scare me

Re: Finals Predictor
100% agree.
They have the wood on us and our system failed badly?
I don't know if our system failed, our players failed to execute, or their system was so much better, or a combination of the above- a bit of everything.
Only the coaches know.
Was Roughy absent for that game?
I think his presence is hugely important.

this seems to be true - but what's his role? I didn't think he was even a coach, just some sort of leadership something or other - ???WellardSaint wrote: ↑Thu 24 Sep 2020 2:08pm ...

Re: Finals Predictor
IMO if we get past the dogs which is definitely a possibility the draw is in our favour all we can is keep giving our best & who knows . The dogs did it in 2016bakes wrote: ↑Thu 24 Sep 2020 12:03pm We can dream ... right?

Re: Finals Predictor
If we don't beat the Dogs then it really has been a disappointing finish to the year and means we will have only won 3 games in 9 matches.
Win against the Dogs and we might have turned a corner. We will be favorites against the Dogs and I expect a win. After that who know what can happen but we are clearly going to struggle to knock over most other teams still in the race after week 1.

Re: Finals Predictor
It is a "sort-of do-able" roadmap.
Like that we avoid Geelong.
But Port in Adelaide is certainly a bit of a roadblock.
Probably tougher than beating Richmond in the GF as Richmond's arrogance could bring them down.

Thanks for the prediction, it's great to see and dream. Nevertheless I 'think' I have a handle on practical expectations.

same predictor result as my own. and not beyond the realms at all given we've beaten all bar brisbane, whom we played like crap against and only went down by 2.

Quietly confident but Bullies are playing well so we will definitely need to be at our best. If we're good enough we get another chance & if were not we reload for next year & hope to go one better

I was a little tipsy after the win last week, but I told a stranger on the internet this:
We are going so deep into the finals that we are going to win the Melbourne Cup.

Re: Finals Predictor
Certainly hope Bakes is the modern day Nostradamus as I'm getting a bit long in the tooth and would dearly like to witness a second Saints premiership. The biggest catch appears to be the prediction of playing three teams that are currently in good form in the Dogs, Lions and Tigers especially as our form has dropped away since we first played them but with the exception of Gresh we have a fit list and could come from left field

I feel ya. As we know, strange things happen when we are favorites and the opposition are perceived as vulnerable.SaintPav wrote: ↑Sun 27 Sep 2020 9:52amI’d prefer we are not favourites.Vortex wrote: ↑Sun 27 Sep 2020 9:20amIf the Dogs can't get their key injuries up in time we will be before the game starts.SaintPav wrote: ↑Sat 26 Sep 2020 2:50pmWe aren't favourites though.Vortex wrote: ↑Thu 24 Sep 2020 9:32pm If we don't beat the Dogs then it really has been a disappointing finish to the year and means we will have only won 3 games in 9 matches.
