Re: Papley
Pallet is a very good AFL player, but we don’t need a small forward with a gun midfielder price tag.
Get midfield talent.
Would prefer Williams for similar $

Re: Papley
I'm not a fan of this guy at all.
Sexton is out of favour at the GC and may be gettable.
TB Sainter mentioned Toby McLean in the Lonie thread.
Zach Williams too.
These are the type of Moneyball recruits that we should be trying to get.

Re: Papley
We should definitely go for Saad, his quick movement and take the game on suits our game style and he and Long can team up wonderfully with Butler, Hill, Gresham etc.
But to say we could get him as a straight swap for Ross, you are kidding. Why would Essendon want to swap a player who can run fast, hit a target by foot 9 times out of 10, make meaningful possessions, and run at the most direct route to goal, for a player that can't do any of that?
Saad would be a late 1st rounder.
Ross is about a 3rd rounder.

Not bad??
We need on field leaders don't we? That's 2 ex captains!
They're not elite kicks but they're tough and will perform in finals. We'll manage the ol fella and keep him fresh

Re: Papley
He's off the table so a non issue but would have been a pass from me. Not what we need. If we are going for another forward then Sexton for mine.
Caldwell should be our priority. Also is Jack Graham not worth a mention? Only 22 (I think) and having a great season. Surprised his name hasn't come up. Also I'm hearing Dom Sheed may be getable. WC has a salary issue due to their star midfield brigade and they may have to loose one or two.
Williams/Crouch would be a lot of $$ so buyer beware especially Crouch. Williams would be worth the punt.
Collier-Dawkins and Constable next on the hit list.
Kelly....the $$$ to return factor worries me. He's a jet but the plane is showing signs of wear and tear.
