Wow what a fabulous judge you are that you can predict an entire career off one kick. Thank goodness you don’t actually work at the club or maybe Stewie Loewe May not have made it to 300oboe wrote: ↑Sat 05 Sep 2020 11:12pm One of the first games he played - us v Port in 2009, Won a kick in the forward line just before half time - an shanked it. A great heart and soul player for the club, and if he gets squeezed out from the best 22 next year, so be it. Every Premiership team needs one of the likes of him (just not 4 or 5). Hope he goes on next year.

Not according to the coach. Did you even open that video?oboe wrote: ↑Sun 06 Sep 2020 12:06am I do. 8.5 wins in 2010, same again in 2011. After beating Port in Round 17 (and in 9th,) lost to Hawthorn by 9 goals, and then lost to Geelong the following week by 186 points. A side doesn't lose by that margin on the verge of the eight without some underlying reason. They got rid of one of their favourite sons at the beginning of 2011, and it eventually tore the heart out of the club.
Geary won't be around next year - unless it's playing at Sandy - he knows that. You and I both know that. But if you treat a player that has played 200 games like s*** - well, you'll never grow a good culture at a club.

Re: No. 14. What you see is what you get.
The story is Geary has been offered a one year extension but Carlisle still waiting and available for trade for the right price.
The reality is Geary is the captain you have when you don't have a captain.
The captain when you expect to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.
Ross is the tagger you have when you don't want Kelly tagged.
He is the midfielder you have when you expect to finish in the bottom half of the ladder.

Geary is a liability. If he is offered another year, and as captain, we are stuffed.

I love Gears and his 200 games for the club but currently he should not be playing because we have better players who can take his place and play his role
It shouldn't matter that he is captain but unfortunately no one has balls big enough to make the call ....... including himself

You either didn’t watch the game or are delusion. It’s an undeniable fact that geary cost is 3 goals and was poorly positioned on at least two others. The man is a complete liability, next week has to be the last game of his career or fans are well within their rights to further criticise the club.

Re: No. 14. What you see is what you get.
14 has got the best out of himself, and he is obviously a top bloke. He Is simply not a good player, he has never been a great player. I think his most effective games this year have been as a negating half forward, whenever the ball goes to him at half back I shudder. I call time.

Watched the replay to just prove you are full of s***. First goal that you blame Geary for is just untrue. Kelly hit Darling with a 50 meter pass that he converted from outside 50 nothing Geary could do.

He followed his opponent om the lead. Kelly had to take the riskier kick to Darling. Re: No. 14. What you see is what you get.
One of the guys I'd love to have in the trenches but would be nervous if he's shooting for my life. Great servant of the club, made it to 200 but at 32 will be his last year. Not sure what value - other than skip - he provides in front of Webster, Roberton, Savage or even - can't believe I'm saying this - DMac.
Also as a drive by, not sure why this thread is not about Long. More disappointed with the form and output of Ben. Might hit hard but imo is a worse kick and decision maker than JG.

Re: No. 14. What you see is what you get.
This debate will be settled by whether Jarryn steps down at the end of the season or not. His body language might suggest he knows its a couple of games past time. Has done well in difficult times and surely would love to do the toss in a final, but fate might have other ideas. The question is who to step up - Steele the favorite but doesn't seem to want the title. Leadership development has not been good has it.

He was literally 2 meters away from Darling when he took the mark, it’s right there in slow motion replay from about 6 different angles, how are you this clueless?CURLY wrote: ↑Fri 11 Sep 2020 10:35amHe was 20 meters away running forward no chance he gets back.
