Re: Changes v Demons
Carlisle interesting... no match up?
All posters are equal, but some posters are more equal than others.

Re: Changes v Demons
Dees have Sam Weideman and Mitch Brown. Plus one of Gawn or Preuss could push forward.
So there was a match up.

Re: Changes v Demons
Will increase pressure on Wilkie and Howard, For class, Carlisle way ahead of Ed, but I hope the honchos know what they are doing.

Wilkie to take Petracca I would have thought whenever he is forward.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Fri 28 Aug 2020 7:31pm Will increase pressure on Wilkie and Howard, For class, Carlisle way ahead of Ed, but I hope the honchos know what they are doing.

Re: Changes v Demons
St Kilda EMG
[36] Daniel McKenzie,
[13] Jack Lonie,
[17] Dylan Roberton,
[43] Jonathon Marsh
So we could still have a late change with either Robbo or Marsh in.

Actually Oscar McDonald is an in too.
So Dees have gone very tall with 2 rucks, Sam Weideman and Mitch Brown up forward and May, Lever and Oscar as 3 tall backs.
So Saints are going with pace and run. Dees with Tall Timber.

Re: Changes v Demons
So Geary stays in and Bytel who needs game time gets dropped. Yes I know this is a must win game but I reckon Bytel can do as well as Geary anyway.

Re: Changes v Demons
Ratten said we needed a quick team for Alice so it was thought that we didn’t need three tall defenders, and we have gone with another running player.

Re: Changes v Demons
I always thought Carlisle would be a good swingman backup for King, in case he tires but it just hasn't happened so far and it seems that if Carlisle has gone forward, it was only for a pinch hit or at the 'too late, what the hell' stage of a game done like a roasted duck burnt to a crisp. So faith in King...and as suggested perhaps that other fella we haven't seen much of, Marsh, a potential in. If they pull King for Marsh late, I don't think we'll win with Carlisle also out.

Pruess has been dropped so they only have one ruckman.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 28 Aug 2020 7:42pmsaintsRrising wrote: ↑Fri 28 Aug 2020 7:25pm

Re: Changes v Demons
Why are you rolling your eyes Saynta? Geary has had a couple of games this season that he has clearly beaten his opponent and a few that he was serviceable and the rest were meh. That being the case I would rather play Bytel.saynta wrote: ↑Fri 28 Aug 2020 7:58pmSure he can.SunnyErnest wrote: ↑Fri 28 Aug 2020 7:44pm So Geary stays in and Bytel who needs game time gets dropped. You don't drop the captain for a kid who has played three games ffs.
Love Bytel and his time will come but he ain't more value to the side than Gears.

Re: Changes v Demons
Carlisle was pretty ordinary last week and put no pressure on, and it cost us goals- also had a few mates who just didn't want the ball enough. If we want to play finals, then we need to be hungry for the ball.
