That's correct F63. That is why I posted this earlier....

Imagine if we got pick 30 for Dunstan, pick 40 for Lonie and pick 45 for Austin. Package those 3 picks up, throw in another player and grab a pick in the teens. Then we take our FRD pick (12ish) and say 18 and grab the next Coffield and Clark.

What do you think? Possible? Good good plan?

If they AFL goes through with the list trimming they have been rumbling about we may have to shed around ten players, with a handful of currently listed guys playing for affiliates while still on the payroll.

Will be a brutal list management period at the end of this season.

If they do reduce the list numbers it will go down from 45 to 40. The AFLPA will not accept it if the AFL want to slash the lists to 35.

We’d have to offer something reasonable to make it worthwhile...

We should try and get this guy. He is an unrestricted FA. No draft picks required just salary cap space. C'mon Gags and Satan. If you really are as good as most people think you are then get it done...Gags is from SA so maybe it's already done. :D

""Rory is a quality person, popular and highly respected by everyone at our club,” Kelly said.

Kelly who is the crowlice's head of football is hardy likely to say that" Rory is a s*** person, hated by all and sundry at the club."

I think we should save money in the cap which we'll need for our rising stars, so I wouldn't want to go for a Williams (GWS).

All we need are 2 gun midfielders and we can contend for a flag in 2021-22.

Like I mentioned in another thread, I would actually sound out Mundy for a 2 year contract. He wouldn't cost much either.

I think it's time to have a crack at the flag, so we should get ready made players that don't cost much. Smart recruiting.

But will the ready made players that don't cost much be as good as Rory? And also more importantly, will they cost draft picks?
I think our main focus should be to get an "A" grade mid through Free Agency".
That means we will still have our FRDP to do whatever else we want. I'm not fussed if it's Rory or Williams, as long as they are FA's. That's the key IMHO.
I reckon if we get either Rory Atkins or Zac Williams then we would definitely be a top 4 side next year. Then maybe take all our draft picks to the draft.
End result is we are strengthening for the now and still recruiting for the future.....Perfect. :D

When did I ever say that ?

Pretty sure I said it would take at least 2 top 10 1st round draft picks to get Kelly ....... that's not a packet of chips

Plain obvious you are making up bulls*** now which is pretty weak Teffers - shame cause you are better than that!!

If it takes 2 top 10 picks to grab Kelly then forget it. I would rather get Zak Williams or Rory Atkins as a FA and take our picks to the Draft.

I can't see that GWS would want any less for Kelly considering he is contracted and is their best player

Atkins isn't even getting a game for a winless Crows and and their BF posters don't rate him
