Re: For the Max King knockers
I'm a big fan of Max, but those stats in the original post are not exactly correct.
While Max is equal tenth in the Coleman Medal race (with 3 other players), he is 8th in contested marks.
Still an extraordinary achievement for a first year player.
Same amount of goals as Jeremy Cameron, more contested marks than Josh Kennedy.

Re: For the Max King knockers
Never herd of knockers. Many of us are or were worried about over reliance on him in terms of expectations we can’t help forming on the back of our first good start for nearly a decade. Double teamed, dropping marks, missing easy goals. After the game against Geelong for instance, where Members wasn’t seen to be doing much up forward - good running up the wings though - and we have short memories. He has kicked three, and all of a sudden...However, no one disputed his talent and potential, and if anything, I would suggest we are worried the other way, that the media are gushing too much, and we don’t wanna jinx him with an injury or put to much hope on him. Look what has happened to Joe Daniher! And perhaps Paddy McCartin too.
He seems strong psychologically on the TV cameras...at least. lol. Good thing. I think it is mischievous to suggest there are knockers, in a personal sense.

Re: For the Max King knockers
Maybe knockers was a bit harsh but they are out there. Same as when some Sainters whinged we took King and Bytel injured. The recruiters knew what they were doing. Faith has been repaid.
The post is more to highlight how good this kid will be and his stats after 12 games. Pretty unbelievable if you ask me.

Re: For the Max King knockers
King was on AFL 360 tonight if anyone is interested -- think it was tonight caught a replay on Kayo.
Very well spoken young man and a credit to the club.

This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.
