Feeling nervous today
Hate these matches! Especially against the bombers
Really hope we come out with fire in the belly and put their season to bed. Need to show last we was an aberration and the earlier season form was where we are at
I don’t think it’s going to be an easy one today, bombers are on their last legs as far as any hope for the season remains

Re: Feeling nervous today
Confident we will win given our ins and their outs. We are a better side.
Nonetheless, it will be a welcome distraction today instead of seeing what the Chairman will f*** up next in Victoria.

Re: Feeling nervous today
Woke up feeling confident. Three day break will kill them after tough game against GC. It will be close for a quarter or two then break them open in the 2nd half as they run out of gas. 40+ points.

Nothing would surprise. We were rancid last week and who knows what that has done to our confidence

Re: Feeling nervous today
The midfield is where we could lose it, Zac, Ryder and Sebby coming back in shores us up a lot but this will be a massive test for Bytel as I don't think Worsfold will give him as much freedom as the Cats did. Losing Gresh is a massive loss and the midfield will struggle to take the points while he is out. We need another extractor, Lonnie rotating through the middle could be trialled, the cupboard is bare.

Stop fudging facts. If they’ve had 3.5 days break then we’ve had 5.5 days

Re: Feeling nervous today
Big game, really hoping for a percentage booster, but will just take a win at least!
Some on here claim two more days break is basically insurmountable, let’s hope they’re correct for once!

Re: Feeling nervous today
Isn’t Woody plating a milestone game today? Isn’t the press lambasting the Bombers and their whole succession plan? Doesn’t that usually mean the team responds well? I hope not. I remember Collingwood getting booed by the press in the Malthouse and Bucks era, and the result was that they usually kept loosing. Whew...but I am not confident at all. I am actually wide open about this. It could be a blow out either way, or a tight one. Impossible to predict. Compass broken. Stepped and crushed on by Jackboot Hawkins.
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

Re: Feeling nervous today
Agree. We’re lacking flair and creativity in there without Gresham. Steele can’t do it all himself. Bytel looks a player, but we should be wary of pinning too many hopes on a 19-year-old second gamer.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Sun 16 Aug 2020 1:50pm Losing Gresh is a massive loss and the midfield will struggle to take the points while he is out.
I didn’t mind the idea of running Hunter Clarke through the midfield and the other one I liked was playing Marshall as an extra-tall, big-bodied mid while Ryder is rucking. I’d be surprised, though, to see either of those eventuate.

Let’s just hope the umps spun the wheel and it came up that they’re cheating for us today!

Yep a fair result all things considered.Trev from the Bush wrote: ↑Sun 16 Aug 2020 7:01pm I'm always happy to double the Bombers score. Well done Saints.
Responded to a lesson by the Cats.
Didn't advance the score at the same rate in the second half but didn't let them dominate scoring either and although the 3rd quarter wasn't pretty they didn't let the bombers back in.
Did just enough to get a workman like result.
