Re: Twinning Kings
See you in 2022 Ben alongside brother Max.
Want to watch the most boring and devious thing on television and probably in mankind's history, then tune into a daily live press conference at 11am.

Re: Twinning Kings
Apparently when Captain Blood Jack Dyer was coaching Richmond he had a set of twins playing for him.
One Thursday, only one of them showed up.
Jack looked the guy in the eye and asked, “Which if you isn’t here tonight? Is it you or your brother?”
He was a genius, Jack. Try working that one out. No one else could.

Re: Twinning Kings
ya can't be separating twins at that age. it's a mental health issue - think the suns should do the right thing, like we did with steven, and let ben come home, even pay a portion of his salary as a good will measure.

Sounds like something Yogi Berra would have said.bigcarl wrote: ↑Wed 05 Aug 2020 5:41pm Apparently when Captain Blood Jack Dyer was coaching Richmond he had a set of twins playing for him.

This was my father's belief
And this is also mine:
Let the corn be all one sheaf--
And the grapes be all one vine,
Ere our children's teeth are set on edge
By bitter bread and wine.

Jack was very similar. When he died, they ran a list of his “Dyerisms” in the paper.roskilde wrote: ↑Wed 05 Aug 2020 7:49pmSounds like something Yogi Berra would have said.bigcarl wrote: ↑Wed 05 Aug 2020 5:41pm Apparently when Captain Blood Jack Dyer was coaching Richmond he had a set of twins playing for him.

“Pair off in threes”, “Bamblett made a great debut last week and an even better one today”, “Up go his arms like giant testicles”, “Fred Fanning would roll over in his grave if he were alive today”. Etc, etc
They were real belly laughs. You could sort of work out what he was getting at. Sort of.

“Bartlett’s older than he’s ever been before.”
He also claimed that he had a shot for goal one day from such a tight angle that the ball got stuck between the posts.
“That’s the beauty of being small – your hands are close to your feet.”
When told of the change to the league’s finals system in 1972, Jack commented: “Things won’t be the same now there are five teams in the four.”
On the long-running Sunday television show World of Sport (Channel 7), Jack declared that Fitzroy had “copulated to the opposition”.

Re: Twinning Kings
My favourite:
LOU RICHARDS: I never slept with my wife before we were married. How about you, Jack?
JACK DYER: I don’t know Lou. What was her maiden name?
Not sure if the above was scripted, but Jack was such a genius at accidentally mangling
the language I wouldn’t have put it past him to have come up with it on the spot.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

I just hope Max doesn't like the weather up there too much and decides to stay.

Re: Twinning Kings
Ah, the voice of common sense. Yes, you're quite right - the AFL may need to directly intervene on this one, after all, as you correctly point out - it is a matter of mental health and we have provided a precedent with "The boy from Lorne" - Jack Stevenes.desertsaint wrote: ↑Wed 05 Aug 2020 7:32pm ya can't be separating twins at that age. it's a mental health issue - think the suns should do the right thing, like we did with steven, and let ben come home, even pay a portion of his salary as a good will measure.
