Don't like mediocrity.
Seb is mediocre. He could be better but is lazy or just switches off at times.
I don't give a Ratts about how the coaches view him.
Weller got a free pass then got delisted.
Proves that coaches are human because they admitted a mistake.

Many on here are adamant that the continued playing of Newnes and Weller was proof that the Richo had a degree of intelligence and brilliance that mere fans couldn’t possibly understand

Ross is sloooow - if you are sloooow then you need good skills to compensate and there in lies our current problem with Ross
Even though he provides onfield experience I would hope by the end of the year some young buck has taken his place

Re: Ross to be traded I’m calling it!!
My criticism of him is when the team is down he goes completely goes into his shell.
There is absolutely no leadership shown. No big tackle, no match saving chase down, no aggression, no run through and kicking a lifting goal.
Vanilla would be the best way to describe Ross, but I doubt for the above reasons he would be anything worth while trading. So he stays and hopefully we can recruit some younger mids to eventually squeeze him out.

Not sure he should be there at all ...... period
Don't see how it will NOT benefit us giving Byrnes and Bytel and red hot mid field crack this year especially while other more experienced mids are continually not performing

I presume a young recruit champing at the bit, being told he'll get his chance when he works on certain parts of his game, would feel weird seeing a guy like Ross getting games even though he's poor at a lot of things.
Give a young guy a game or 3, drop Ross to show he can't get a free pass, while showing faith in the young cub.
Young guy might not have the nous but at least he can't do worse than Ross

Re: Ross to be traded I’m calling it!!
If we want to be serious about top 4 team our midfield still not good enough....
Seb Ross as a leader and B & F winner has currency I just don’t think he is good enough..
He never shows anything when we are down he just goes missing...
Think of Harvey think of Hayes that’s the level and both those retired without a premiership we are deluded if we think Ross is good enough...
Ross can be traded along with Dunstan....
Bytel and Byrnes will get a chance and I know that we are targeting somebody next year in the mid field.
A few others need to pull their fingers out today was shocking...
Very disappointing
You sure Ross isnt going to be traded Saynta?
Dunstan & now Ross your on a roll pal!!!
Sign up for recruiting & list management....
Then again maybe the Cheersquad is more your level!!!

Looks like a fair group of the Richardson era will be shopped.
Fair enough.
Gotta be ruthless.

Re: Ross to be traded I’m calling it!!
Guys like Seb are always going to polarise opinion but the reality is he has more shortcomings than strengths.
More often than not, the pill often ends up in opposition hands when he gets it, handballing can be sloppy & kicking skills below par.
Using him as a tagger not ideal, as for us to become a really good team, tagging would need to go.
A classic example was against West Coast when they had almost their entire midfield out and we only needed for Seb to keep Tim Kelly relatively quiet.
Kelly ends up having a blinder and won them the game!
Seb is also a free agent next year, so could walk for nothing, so if we can get a decent deal, go for it.

Not leaving at this stage. Depends on who comes in.

Re: Ross to be traded I’m calling it!!
If Ross isn’t much chop, all said and done, I suppose Dunstan must be even lower?
Based on selection anyway.
So we have
Webster
Dunstan
Ross
Parker
Lonie
All goers..
Parked in the back lot?
Someone like Roberton not good enough ...(something smells fishy there...too talented)
