NRL CEO resigns - hands off Lethers you bum-sniffers!
That retarded bum-sniffing sport played in Sid-er-Knee has got rid of its CEO.
Lethers may be of interest to them.
They can f*** off as far as I’m concerned.

Lethlean is gone. And his departure will just be the start of the guts getting cut out of the club.

Brace yourself, it's highly doubtful the 2020 season will be completed placing further financial pressure on the AFL and even some clubs existence. It's looking like if the AFL doesn't resume by May 31 then the season will be officially cancelled. That means an immediate loss of $413 in media rights money.saynta wrote: ↑Tue 21 Apr 2020 12:07pmWhat a real little bundle of joy you are.Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Tue 21 Apr 2020 8:35am Lethlean is gone. I'll call it now and Say Letlean is a cost we may not be able to afford.
I think our AFLW team would also be very concerned as I can see them being cut if this season is cancelled.

Sure do. I think the club was being run really well prior to COVID-19 and I thought we were a big chance to play finals this year.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Tue 21 Apr 2020 3:03pmDo you have anything positive to say about the club??Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Tue 21 Apr 2020 8:35am Lethlean is gone. It won't have any income for a year, but why can't they all just come back next year and pick up where they left off? (given that everything, including the players, facilities will be a year older and no doubt in physically far worse shape) The entire industry and its stakeholders are basically in mothballs. The universe has stopped spinning, but the market stakes - relative to its stakeholders - hasn't changed that much, has it? Collingwood won't just swoop in and buy Moorabbin. Melbourne can't just buy the Bulldogs conditioning staff. And Essendon won't buy the Geelong team bus. Netflix won't just swoop in and buy the Footy Rights and our sponsors aren't gonna be looking to move over to Hawthorn - even if they are running online casinos with free booze home deliveries for members (which they probably are).
You're quite brilliant Shane, yeah..terrific!

It's a fantastic idea but for it to work you need the predator sitting atop the apex to agree to stop putting out the hand.shanegrambeau wrote: ↑Tue 21 Apr 2020 4:12pmWhy will the thing collapse?Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Tue 21 Apr 2020 12:27pmBrace yourself, it's highly doubtful the 2020 season will be completed placing further financial pressure on the AFL and even some clubs existence. Isn't the NRL run by a drag queen?
The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
They can even WATCH LIVE FOOTY!

One thing I know for sure is that if we/us supporters/barrackers/members don't do anything St Kilda will fold, or at best relocate to Tassie or merge with another team.
We have to get a campaign going this year to raise at least $5 Mill. Preferably closer to $10 Mill. Obviously the more the better. I don't know if that is possible but if we don't show the AFL that we want our club to survive then we will be first to go.

Re: NRL CEO resigns - hands off Lethers you bum-sniffers!
You can raise $20 million and it still won't stop an AFL and/or bank decision to kill off a club under the new AFL administration-type management of the 12 assisted clubs. It's called throwing good money after bad. The insolvency practitioners engaged by the banks to oversee the $600 million loan would be looking at our club the same way the administrators are looking at Virgin, loaded with debt, under performing assets and weak market share and cashflow.Nick_BlueNRG wrote: ↑Wed 22 Apr 2020 12:30pm One thing I know for sure is that if we/us supporters/barrackers/members don't do anything St Kilda will fold, or at best relocate to Tassie or merge with another team.

Re: NRL CEO resigns - hands off Lethers you bum-sniffers!
Why don't the AFL just let us go under? Would the fact that they have guaranteed a large portion of our existing debt have anything to do with it? Why would they give us more?Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Wed 22 Apr 2020 1:05pmYou can raise $20 million and it still won't stop an AFL and/or bank decision to kill off a club under the new AFL administration-type management of the 12 assisted clubs. The Moorabbin property and development is largely owned and funded by Government money so I don't think our debt is guaranteed at all as we don't have any assets or cash. Our ability to service our debt before COVID-19 was largely from money being loaned to the club by the AFL under a distribution system administered by the AFL.
Under that system the AFL could have called in thier debt if they chose but times were good and money floweth like rivers of gold and all pigs were fed and ready to fly.
Now we have a different master, and when I say we, I mean the AFL, our loan shark used to only be the AFL but now the AFL has a loan shark and that loan shark now owns our arse and 11 other clubs.
The seriousness of our situation will not become apparent until the world gets a good look at what the the greatest recession since the great depression looks like. If revenue issues like we've never seen before materialise then that's when the bank will call the shots and the AFL will say yes sir.
The weak debt laden clubs with underperforming assets, which is what we now have at Moorabbin, and poor cash flow will be vulnerable. It could mean the AFL is forced to make decisions for the greater good and we will be powerless. Why the members haven't been kept more informed or even given a vote on what could be such a pivotal moment in the club's history is astounding.

Re: NRL CEO resigns - hands off Lethers you bum-sniffers!
If all the doom and gloom comes to pass, and it would be wise to always consider that an unpleasant outcome as likely, then I would consider a relocation to Tasssie as the better of the options, especially if it means saving the club!.Nick_BlueNRG wrote: ↑Wed 22 Apr 2020 12:30pm One thing I know for sure is that if we/us supporters/barrackers/members don't do anything St Kilda will fold, or at best relocate to Tassie or merge with another team.
In that way, the club in it's entirety continues to exist. It wouldn't be lost to history like Fitzroy was. It would get AFL support, Government support, local support and continued support back in Victoria and elsewhere.
We as supporters would still be able to follow the "Saints", at games, probably still played at Marvel and on TV/Foxtel, as many supporters do now anyway. That appeals to me much more than Saints being morphed into being part of a newly merged club or worse!

I don't agree. It's still in our hands. All supporters need to band together. We need to start a campaign now. I don't know what or how, but I am more than willing to offer my time if it means saving my club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Secret Kiel wrote: ↑Wed 22 Apr 2020 1:05pmYou can raise $20 million and it still won't stop an AFL and/or bank decision to kill off a club under the new AFL administration-type management of the 12 assisted clubs. How would Lethlean go from being an AFL Footy Department Manager at a club, to the CEO of the entire NRL??

You are stuck in the old paradigm. In the new post COVID-19 AFL the people who will decide our destiny care little for football, they are called administrators.Nick_BlueNRG wrote: ↑Thu 23 Apr 2020 1:32pmI don't agree.
