For crying out loud George it's only a pre-season game. Jimmy will play the next one. How about concentrating on the positives?

Just noticed him rubbing it high up as they walked off at half time.
Clearly just a mozzie bite or something!

I’m worried about the affect that win will have on our draft position.

I thought our clearance work out of the centre was the best I have seen from the Saints in many years.

I was impressed with Abbott in the last quarter.Took the bloody commentators about 15 minutes to realise he was playing though

That was bloody enjoyable.
Ball movement that actually delivers the ball to the forwards who actually get it through the big sticks.
Who’d have thunk it?!

Won all his hitouts for starters. Could have kicked a couple of goals as well, Not bad below his knees for a big guy,

What were you expecting?
I thought he did oretty much what you'd hope for for a guy playing in a brand new backline.
I thought the entire backline was rattled all night. Which is not really that surprising.

What does Battle do if he can't play that medium tall defender role?

Dunstan has figured out what it takes.
Spread really well and was great with hardball.
Looks like a player who has arrived

No doubt I'll see you all next Friday night at Morwell when both teams line up for the Second Test. Will be great to get out of what's left of the bush for the night.
All in all, that was a pretty good pre-season performance by both sides for 20 February.

Looked good.
Brad Hill is a dead set gun.

Roma also looks like a bloke who feels he belongs.
Very fit and strong and absolutely bossed it in the forward line.
Clark similarly is clearly continuing his trajectory from last year. Must love playing under Ratten.
Hill is exactly the player we needed. A gun.
King will be a competitive beast. Moves well and laid a great tackle at the end. Fast and wants it.
Billings seemed flat and inaccurate.
Carlisle improved as the game went on. Actually bent over to pick up the ball which I haven't seen for about 12 months.
Good skills for first praccy match.
Only worry was how we defended the counter attack . We were too easy to score against.
Oh and the umpires were flogs

I think it's more about Hill and Clark.
Dunstan won't cop an iota of defense.

Ratts was quoted as saying there's so much depth, that the coaches couldn't agree on who to pick,
it was : 'oh u left out so and so'
reply : 'i just couldn't squeeze him in'
And preseason is just practice, it's getting a good look at guys
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
