Zac Jones Simply Saintsational
If ever a player lived up to the billing.
Scratch that.
Make it the Jones family.
Let me explain.
There is currently a story on the St Kilda website.
Normally, most of the time, these kinds of yarns are PR BS.
But this one is a small exception.
It tells the story of how one of our newest recruits got to wear Jack Stevens old number 3.
As Zac tells it, he really had no choice but go all out for this number.
As some might remember here, it was also Nathan Burke's old number.
And the Jones family being died in the wool, dinky die Saints supporters, were huge fans of N. Burke.
So much so, they named the current Melbourne incumbent and other son Nathan Jones after Nathan Burke.
True story.
I laughed when I read it.
So Zac really had no choice in the matter.
Legends.

Genius
Talking saints players who were fans and may be named after players, what about Max King?

Re: Zac Jones Simply Saintsational
I would much rather think of Zac Jones taking on the great Nathan Burke's number, than that of TT (oh, you know - Tubby Turncoat).

Nah, he conned the footy club into letting him go whilst still paying his exorbitant salary.

Re: Zac Jones Simply Saintsational
Interesting thought, Magnifisaint - I suspect they suddenly disappeared, but I can't pretend to really know. I must say that some of the rumours suggest that maybe a team mate or 2, might now be relieved that he waddled out, but of course rumours are only rumours and cannot truly be mistaken for absolute truth.magnifisaint wrote: ↑Tue 14 Jan 2020 3:56pmI wonder if he still has mental issues?Harves Man wrote: ↑Sat 11 Jan 2020 11:32pmI did indeed mean the boy from Lorne.
