Pick 51
From herald sun.com
St Kilda
Pick 51: St Kilda clearly prioritised the trade and free agency periods ahead of this year's draft pool. At this stage, the Saints will have the longest wait of any club before taking their first pick. Cooper Sharman came onto the scene late at NAB League level but was invited to the national Draft Combine and has club interest. He's a tall forward who can also move up the ground, where his marking is a feature.
Around the mark: Sam Philp, Ned Cahill, Cameron Taheny

How do we get Bigoa Nyuon ?
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

Re: Pick 51
I don’t think he was really ruckman size. They just had nobody else.

Re: Pick 51
If a club nominates Biggy before pick 51, then with pick 51.
If they do not, we use 51 on a another player and take Biggy later. I am sure that is is what the club will be hoping.
But the club needed a pick in the fifties just in case he is picked a little earlier.

Re: Pick 51
One draft expert has him going at 20. If someone bids that how do we get him. Is 51 alone enough?saintsRrising wrote: ↑Sat 19 Oct 2019 12:03pmIf a club nominates Biggy before pick 51, then with pick 51.

Re: Pick 51
Pick 38+ has us covered by the 20% discount applied to NGA and F/S nominated draftees.Gershwin wrote: ↑Sat 19 Oct 2019 1:27pmOne draft expert has him going at 20. Anything before that, and I’m sure we can swap 1 of our 2020 4th rounders with one of ports 2019 4th rounders to absorb the difference.
The best case scenario if if a bid doesn’t come until after pick 51, and we can use it on someone else.

No 51 is only enough from about pick 38 on.
If we decide to match we would have to top up the points. The difference would currently come off our 2020 first, unless we trade in.

Re: Pick 51
So I guess on draft day our recruiters go out to a looooong lunch with the Eagles guys and waltz in together an hour late when they are approaching pick 40?

Re: Pick 51
Yep. I doubt they will even show up to the first draft day, for the first round. Just show up an hour into day 2.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sun 20 Oct 2019 11:16am So I guess on draft day our recruiters go out to a looooong lunch with the Eagles guys and waltz in together an hour late when they are approaching pick 40?
