Re: Tones and I to perform at the Granny
Shame they couldn't lure a big act.
Surely they could have prised Lucky Grills away from the Rooty Hill RSL club?
At least the AFL have saved a pile of money.

Was Tones the lady dressed like a bean bag or was that "I"?

Well I for one thought the blend and quality of all the pre-game entertainers was excellent.

Re: Tones and I to perform at the Granny
Yeah, people are ^%#s she was in tune and the song is catchy. people were saying she was worse than Metloaf. Seriously he was so off it on medication and booze it sounded like he was gargling he own vomit. It was one of the most truly embarrassing performances of all time. Tones and I wasn't my cup of tea but she was good at what she did. If she'd been a hot chick, they would have talked her up.

Plastic Bertrand would have been cool. At least his one hit was a banger.

Yup, Saynta is from an ancient time when the contemporary artists were:
The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Cream, Elvis Presley, The Doors, Janis Joplin, David Bowie and a strange fellow called Frank Zappa.
How envious he must be of the current young generations, because they've got Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift!
F**k me, I'm envious too.

An archaic time when singers had to sing in tune, because there was no auto-tune.

Re: Tones and I to perform at the Granny
Had to check them out:
Wow cosmic! How unique, a record with no humans on it. The new Beatles!!! Where did that genius come from?
Or some may think it more appropriate to roll out a quote from Spinal Tap: "A sh*t sandwich"

Every generation has it’s superstars, it’s all just a matter of taste. None of them are playing the AFL grand final tho!
Every generation has its piles of crap too, don’t forget to mention them in your list!

Even that sounds good compared to some of today's uninspired tripe. And that's a sad state of affairs.

And everyone thought Pat Boone was tiresome, but he was an electric mosh-pit compared to Sheeran.
