Please Don't Delist Brandon White
I see that Marsh, Langlands and Mayo were offered one year contracts for 2020.
I hope we hold on to Brandon White.
Really starved of opportunity even though he was performing week in week out in the twos.
Injured pretty early on in his only game for the season but remained on the field in a courageous effort.
He's always shown a bit when given the chance.
I would be disappointed if the club delists him.

Re: Please Don't Delist Brandon White
I agree with the sentiment but the fact the two coaches we had this season could only offer him one game, despite the poor form of some, injuries to like players & White's very good VFL form suggests the screen was put around him from a long way out.

Club needs to keep churning the list in the hope one day they'll succeed.
Bit players aren't the answer.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Both had 4 years in the system.
If the coaches are not giving you chances after 4 years you have no chance of getting a contract renewal.

Agreed. He will be gone.
On the plus side, we got to see Mav Weller play FP a lot. Sums up Richo’s development IMO

Baffling that he hasn't played more senior games but I suppose there must be reasons for this that we don't know about. His AFL form has certainly been better than many others given far more opportunities.

Re: Please Don't Delist Brandon White
Interestingly him and rice are two of the better kicks on the team. Just lacking effort / fitness I guess. Still with Rattens recent comments in mind do you reckon he prefers White or Dmac rebounding out of defensive 50?

I hope it’s not because, as was suggested on here, because his mum was giving Richo a hard time over his non-selection.
From what I’ve seen he has a bit of ability

Well I hope he enjoys his Pies & Pints with May during the pre season.PADDLEPOP1001 wrote: ↑Tue 03 Sep 2019 6:25am Has come back for preseason in bad shape twice earlier in his career maybe they don’t think he wants it enough ,did hear the dees were keen !

Actually, how ironic would it be if White drew interest from another club yet Newnes receives none?

I reckon he showed enough in that game to have played another 3 - 4 in the forward line ahead of a couple others (especially instead of say, Marsh). I just got the feeling we could be missing something there.damienc wrote: ↑Mon 02 Sep 2019 10:29pm I see that Marsh, Langlands and Mayo were offered one year contracts for 2020.

If he goes, then I hope his replacement never sees much of Sandringham

Re: Please Don't Delist Brandon White
This still puzzles me. He definitely showed enough in the VFL and his very limited opportunities in the ones to warrant a better go.
His kicking skills look elite compared to most in the side which is what we are surely looking for. Yet two coaches basically ignored him.
I would love to hear some feedback from the club as to why. I hope he is given a chance to show if he can make it.

Re: Please Don't Delist Brandon White
If there's an issue with Brandon, it might be that he finds a way to get injured. Seems to have happened every time he gets a crack, then nothing. That's no way of finding out if he's any good.
If he was to have taken only half of Newnes' games this year and failed, then we would know...but no, didn't happen. Something else must be wrong
