This is getting ridiculous. Stick to the OP topic.

I think you'll find that Joffa is sticking to the topic, about our next coach isn't it ?tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jul 2019 10:56pm This is getting ridiculous. Stick to the OP topic.

you have predicted just about everyone and kindly let us all know.
Do you have a problem with having all your predictions re posted ?

Re: Ratts targetting Saints job
Are you seriously that naive or dumb to think that someone re-posting only a very tiny snippet of what I have posted in regards to the Saints head coach without any context, dates, circumstances, etc. to those threads is actually genuine?
Again, its baiting and spamming and it has been reported.
As I said, stick to the OP and footy discussion. It's not hard.

Re: Ratts targetting Saints job
Comparing a bloke who got Melbourne to a prelim last year and are down the bottom of the ladder this year (and probably tearing his hair out) to a guy who has only been caretaking for 2 games (at this stage) is a bit silly.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jul 2019 5:26pm Interesting situation. Ratta is definitely a chance.
If you compare his coaching to Goodwin on Sat night, then Ratta is well ahead of him as a senior coach. Even the emotion and animation difference between those two in the last quarter was big.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Not really. Ratts looked like a winner. Goodwin looked like a loser.Jacks Back wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jul 2019 11:10pmComparing a bloke who got Melbourne to a prelim last year and are down the bottom of the ladder this year (and probably tearing his hair out) to a guy who has only been caretaking for 2 games (at this stage) is a bit silly.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 29 Jul 2019 5:26pm Interesting situation. Personally I feel that flapping about like a flag in a breeze and regurgitating whatever dross happens to drift across your vision at that moment in time is more the act of a spammer. You also deliberately post in a manner that tries to imply that you have some sort of "in the know" status.
Oh, and also, stop instructing other posters on how and what to post, it is not your place to do that.....

Re: Ratts targetting Saints job
Interesting he took a stkikda assistant job in the first place. Are we sure this isnt all smoke and mirrors and this was planned from the start?
Anyway its his job to lose surely.
48yo, hes done it all at the best club, knows the players, love his media work presents fantastically. Everytime they awitch to him in the box hes there working hard writing and yelling something unlike richo and many others.
I love him and really hope we choose him.
He has the perfect mix of toughness/caring/fun and communicates fantastically.
Think about if you were a player. Youd want to play for him because of that. Brad Scott??? oh geezuz no. Voss?? again both of them would lack the caring/fun and communication aspects. Which for this generation is important. They would be harder/tougher but Ratts is tough enough. And having that hawks experience is vital.
Ratten is the perfect choice. Please saints dont stuff this up.

I know it’s a honeymoon period at the moment but he just seems to be the right guy for this group. Looking in from afar.... They really WANT to play for him. If he can get this group to want to run through brick walls for him... look out!

Re: Ratts targetting Saints job
i reckon our next coach will be someone that has played or coached before, perhaps just in an assistant role, perhaps head coach. in fact it's a lay down misere.
i'd name names, but there's just too many, but remember when he gets appointed you heard it here first.

If it was, I'm sure you'd be disgusted and tell us all what it was in great detail, just in case no-one in the Western world had any idea what you were talking about.

"St Kilda have not yet received any presentations for their vacant senior coaching job and are undecided on when caretaker coach Brett Ratten should talk to them about the senior post.
Carlton took the decision to wait until the end of the season for David Teague to make a presentation so as not to distract him from coaching the team.
The Saints also do not wish to distract Ratten from the job and are mindful that they already know him so well the question of what degree of presentation he needs to give them is debatable.

Ratten is considered by some senior people at St Kilda as favourite to get the job permanently.
Former North Melbourne coach Brad Scott is still to make up his mind about whether he wants to coach next year and so has not made contact with St Kilda or Carlton about applying for either coaching position.
Scott's position at North will be filled permanently by interim coach Rhyce Shaw. An announcement confirming his position is expected to be made within the week.
Meanwhile, St Kilda's Dan Hannebery is likely to miss another week after a bout of gastro means he is set to be sidelined.
Jimmy Webster, who the club is equally eager to get back in the side, will also not come up and will miss at least another match, if not two.
Blake Acres is struggling with a shoulder injury but is expected to be ok."

Re: Ratts targetting Saints job
I reckon Ratts is having his most important interview this Saturday. A credible performance in Adelaide against the Crows will see him as the man to beat.
Whereas if we regress against an out of form Crows with a shocker our Coaching Panel will start having second thoughts.
