Exactly what we need. Ed Langdon apparently want's out as well plus Stephen Hill is an unrestricted FA. I reckon a first round pick for the two plus a future second perhaps would get it done and get Stephen Hill as a FA.
Forget Ed, lets go for a range of Hills - Brad and Stephen.
But why stop there - Benny is a top run and chase man with great stamina.

Good pick up. Benny has been doing circle work flat out for thirty years straight. That's what I call a tank.

Getting rid of our whipping boys or rubbish is not going to land us an A Grade wingman
Seb Ross, finished top 2 in the last three best & fairests, winning in 2017. Apparently he is not as good as Acres, who is yet to finish in the top 10, and won’t this year.
I could have finnished top 3 in our B&F last two years, and I'm 55
Brad Hill is exactly what we need, but will be very difficult to get. Hopefully someone smarter than a 55YO B&F podium prospect can get it done
FWIW I am regularly critical of Seb's kicking, and it's usually because he doesn't look first. If he can start to play more like last week, he'll be a star. The irony is, a Brad Hill working along side Seb could enable this
Next years 2nd rounder might do it or a swap of picks this year.
Offer Hill a 5 year contract with a 6th year trigger clause at 750-800k a season. It will set him up for life and his missus will be back in Melbourne.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Why is any of the above relevant?
Surely that’s all already agreed and ready to be singed since Hill has us atop his destination list.

We are top of Brad Hill's list atm.
You don’t think he’s on that kind of coin now when lured from Hawthorn?
Lastly if you had any idea about Hills position you’d be aware his manager has alerted a VIC club that both brothers could be lured to VIC for a shot at a flag.
Saints are no hope of getting Hill.
Remember when you wrote we were in the box seat for McGovern?

Offer next years second rounder for Brad and tell the dockers if they accept it we will offer a Godfather offer to Stephen Hill so they get a first rounder in compensation.
Hill deal should get done.
Let’s just say Gubby Allan and Hills manager have strong ties and he owes Gubby so we are in the box seat.
He has 3 premierships already it’s about $$$& security and we have more upside than people see hawks are in a precarious position with their list.

Like what I'm hearing also Vaz.

I note where he is selected to line up on Saturday
When you are in rebuild phase as St Kilda are you do not trade your elite players out
In 2020 we start with King then others being available - and these kids are growing together from a difficult start so you work the bonding
Those on thin ice are those at the bottom of our List and a core of our experienced players who could not carry our kids post Fisher, Dempster, Riewoldt and Montagna - Steven excepted because he was winning B&F’s

Now you are talking, that is exactly what one Melbourne club is proposing along with their first round pick.
The brothers are gettable but it needs to be a club with a tilt at a flag in 2020.
Saints no chance, unfortunately

I do not believe that there is a club that has all those criteria:
- Can pay Hill lots of money
- Can pay his brother enough over a long enough (it would have to be a many year deal) to generate a first round FA pick
- Is a genuine crack at at the flag next year.
And no they cannot just pay more to the brother than Brad as the AFL would go them for draft tampering.

Who says we are not a flag chance in 2020. Not I.
We stayed with flag favourites Geelong for 3/4 ans were in front at 1/2 time with half a side.
Whilst flag chance may be extreme, we have the nucleus of a very good team.
We address a few glaring list concerns
End up with a decent coach
Have a better year for injuries
Would certainly agree that we could give it a real shake next year
