Re: Clarkson huge rap for Ratten as a senior coach
For me he is looking most likely to lead us next year.
And i would be happy with that, especially if the players love him as much as i hear.

We certainly could do a whole lot worse than Ratten.
Proven coach with a decent track record. Hope he gets the gig full time.

Interesting to see if the players vote with their feet. Will be hard to appoint someone else if we blitz the remaining games.
*Allegedly.

Re: Clarkson huge rap for Ratten as a senior coach
Bit of a worry tonight from journo source on "on the couch" about Ross the tosser flosser lyin returning to Melbourne next year after an amicable parting of the ways with the dockers.
Healy stated that Rooy, Dal and Joey have all stated that they would like him back coaching the saints.
No thanks, I say, but.......

Re: Clarkson huge rap for Ratten as a senior coach
I know we have to be seen to be doing the right thing by having a panel decide who our next coach should be but personally I'd be devastated if Ratts didn't get the job. I've already seen enough to know that he's our man....excellent credentials, players have already been tutored by him for a year and they love him.
Saints hierarchy, the appointment of the right candidate as our next coach is just critical given the hardship we've already endured over the last 6 years....please don't stuff it up, and that means no jobs for the boys as well.

Will be a tough call for you Saynta if it’s a choice between Ross and Scott. I share your views on both but cut Ross a bit of slack as the players still seem to love him and I reckon they know more than me.saynta wrote: ↑Mon 22 Jul 2019 11:13pmHope so. Just as they begin to recover from Shytehouse, recruiting Lyer will set them back another decade.
They sooooo deserve him!

Ex St Kilda players seem to love him but he’s irrelevant to the current team and I hope it stays that way.Darth Vader wrote: ↑Mon 22 Jul 2019 11:36pmWill be a tough call for you Saynta if it’s a choice between Ross and Scott. Re: Clarkson huge rap for Ratten as a senior coach
Ratten could be a premiership coach.
No doubt in my mind.
He's been around quite a few.

Yep, bit of a worry that isn't it. I have an extreme dislike for both of them.Darth Vader wrote: ↑Mon 22 Jul 2019 11:36pmWill be a tough call for you Saynta if it’s a choice between Ross and Scott. Which players still love him who play for the saints currently?Darth Vader wrote: ↑Mon 22 Jul 2019 11:36pmWill be a tough call for you Saynta if it’s a choice between Ross and Scott. Re: Clarkson huge rap for Ratten as a senior coach
Good point - I actually was referring to ex-players. What I was getting at was that although I don’t think much of him, the players that played under him seem to really rate him, so maybe there’s something in that. My opinion is totally uninformed - I just don’t like the way he left us and worry about the negative game style.Rubyjo wrote: ↑Tue 23 Jul 2019 2:48pmWhich players still love him who play for the saints currently?Darth Vader wrote: ↑Mon 22 Jul 2019 11:36pmWill be a tough call for you Saynta if it’s a choice between Ross and Scott. Some of those blokes really only have GT, RTB, DwarF and CHO to be comparing, so yes, I think so too but none of them should be our next coach on meritDarth Vader wrote: ↑Tue 23 Jul 2019 3:49pmGood point - I actually was referring to ex-players.
