Actual borrowings and finance leases outstanding at 31 October 2018 (i.e. 2018 Annual Report) ... aka - 'hard debt' ... were $10,186,043 (https://s.afl.com.au/staticfile/AFL%20T ... t-2018.pdf - p.29)

Re: Saints debt
So China should wipe $750k-$1m.
Everything else will remain relatively constant from 2018.. Apart from all the grant money for Moorabbin.

Re: Saints debt
It would be nice if our big group of very wealthy supporters chipped in....or best yet, get the ball rolling on a 30,000 seat boutique stadium at Moorabbin.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Well, that's not going to happen.

Re: Saints debt
What about the ones who dropped a bucket of cash for the grand trip south? Should we all pony up again and again, everytime the club mismanages...I'd be bankrupt if I let my business run the way the club functions.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 15 Jul 2019 2:01pm It would be nice if our big group of very wealthy supporters chipped in....or best yet, get the ball rolling on a 30,000 seat boutique stadium at Moorabbin.
How about each member give $3-5000?
That'd be swell....that said as a ITK you'd know there's several very generous and passionate members that have committed a nice amount to a future project.

Re: Saints debt
I am not an ITK and I have no idea how much cash gets given to the club by our wealthy contingent.

Re: Saints debt
The club should invest heavily in Powerball this week. $110 mill would help solve our money problems.
Opinions are like arseholes, everybody's got one.

Re: Saints debt
Didn't know there were that many lame players out there we could throw it at.
Let me see $110 mil equals approx 30 Hannabery contracts.

Re: Saints debt
what's our president worth?tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Mon 15 Jul 2019 2:01pm It would be nice if our big group of very wealthy supporters chipped in....or best yet, get the ball rolling on a 30,000 seat boutique stadium at Moorabbin.
and what's our debt compared to his net worth?
as a % of your average Saints member yearly income, what's a family membership worth with reserved seats?
apply that rule
short arms long pockets for some when talking about their love of the club

Re: Saints debt
It’s the most marginal Federal and State Seat in Australia. Kardinia (Taxpayer) Park is located right in the middle of it.
Hence successive State & Federal governments have shovelled $300M into KP redeveloping it over the past 15 years (in the hope of winning votes].

Re: Saints debt
Bassat spoke recently about tackling the debt it’s on his agenda.... he said the top end of town will do their bit but we all must do our bit..
Forward Fix not backward blame...
You want to see Premierships we need to be strong financially....
45,000 members and so many more supporters...
A night out at a restaurant with the family..
$100 each....
Half by our members half by the top end of town we have this covered and we don’t need to bow to our creditors like the AFL..
We can invest in our football department we can be ready when the list is in the next premiership window..
Money has cost us many glories..
If one of the power clubs had our 2004/05 list they would be back to back premiers....
A threadbare medical and conditioning department cost us 2 premierships...

Re: Saints debt
Refinance, ask the RBA for 1% as a national treasure rate; offer to pay new deeming rate + 0.5% to pensioners for investments; get 457 visa holders to run game day and front office (oh sorry Mr Kennett, apparently they already do); put Moorabbin in my name and declare insolvency (trust me); start a reality show Home and Away - the 2020 Draw. Appoint a gay coach and ask Qantas for sponsorship. We need to think laterally. Of course just having a winning season would be a big help.
