POLL: Your preferred Saints coach
Interested in getting a snapshot. Have excluded the likes of Beveridge, Clarkson and other currently engaged senior coaches, caretakers aside. I just don’t have any confidence we could attract a premiership coach from another club.

Rob Harvey should be on that list.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

Re: POLL: Your preferred Saints coach
Surely Harvey can’t be coach, we all know him so well as a coach we can make that call. He is far too quite, when what we need is a Alan Killigrew style hot gospeller.
Don’t matter if he’s good an astute mind for the game, or whether is is a respected figure.
He can’t go off his nut (well not that we’d know anyway?) and command respect!
How does one command respect anyway?
I swear to god, some people are stuck in the sensational seventies when it comes to understanding the actual role of an AFL coach.
Adam Simpson is a quiet achiever, is softly spoken, is a nice guy, is not an authoritarian or egocentric. What he is 1) An astute footy mind 2) a consistent communicator 3) lucky
I could coach that team with some success.
Shannon, Tom, Brad, Jeremy - you guys play down back and beat your opponents
NicNat - try and hit the ball to Shuey or Elliot and kick it Forward.
To JK or Darling if they don’t mark it, Cripps, Ryan, Rioli etc can you please get to their feet and crumb it
Hutchins you stop their best Player
Hickey, try not to f*** up too much when you relieve NicNat

If it’s out of Scott and Ratten, what are their respective win/loss ratios? I did see the figures on here recently and they were quite similar from memory.
Both slightly over 50 per cent?

Re: POLL: Your preferred Saints coach
I vote Richo first choice as that would mean we would win every game from here on in, play in a final and win it.!
If not, lyon, roos, then ratten.
The main reason for the first two is that I think we need another Blight moment that will have A graders wanting to Jump on and to realize the hopes of our forlorn supporter base.
Scott offers none of that, in fact there is. a very real chance of alienating our supporters

Re: POLL: Your preferred Saints coach
If I was in charge at WCE I would use a management style like Homer did at the power plant
Or
A Monty Burns style coach when he took on the Softball team

Re: POLL: Your preferred Saints coach
Voss for me- has made mistakes so will have learnt, has "aggro" as captain of that intimidating Brisbane side, will have credibility with the players and sponsors.
Scott has been shown up by Shaw, Shaw now likely to get the roo gig, Ratten similar to Voss but too linked to current regime.

the invisible and the non existent look very much alike

Come on BM, dont you remember the excitement we all felt for a couple of months? Hamill, gehrig, roo, kosi, stevie Lawrence, and the legendary Blighty.
And then the season started
