Scott ponders future as Richardson stares down the barrel
From today’s Age :
https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/sco ... 525b2.html
“Brad Scott is considering taking a year out of football, despite the fact the former North Melbourne coach is likely to be approached by at least two clubs at the end of the year.
The Age understands Scott, who is currently on holiday with his wife, Penny, and their children, is taking time away to reconsider whether he wants to coach in 2020.
Carlton have put Scott on their shortlist to replace Brendon Bolton, while St Kilda could part ways with Alan Richardson as early as next week, depending on the result of their ominous clash with top-of-the-ladder Geelong on Saturday night.”

It does say that Scott is considering taking a year out of coaching, which would count him out of our job. Who knows it there’s any truth in it.

Re: Scott ponders future as Richardson stares down the barrel
It's a prequel article.
McClure will dripfeed this story over time.
You watch. It starts out that Scott diesbt even know if he'll coach next year, and makes it clear that Carlton have him in their sights, but we don't.
Takes the heat off Lethlean.
The next instalment will suggest Scott is open to coaching again.
Then Cho will go.
Then we'll have a process, etc. .....

I heard McClure on SEN late last week state that Scott would coach next season
He claimed he KNEW that it would happen
No conjecture

I heard that too - he was rather cocky about it as well, very proud of his insider info shutting down the caller who said Scott didn't deserve to coach - set my alarm bells offMr Magic wrote:I heard McClure on SEN late last week state that Scott would coach next season

Well if Scott gets the gig, what do WE plan to do about it? I for one, will do what I always do, (even allowing for my bitching and whinging) and that is to renew my membership, throw my weight behind Scott (or whoever we get as Senior Coach) and give the bloke a fair crack at doing his job.

I understand, and sympathise with your view regarding the senior coach position, but I just CANNOT (in spite of how bad I may feel about this CURRENT administration and their dumb decisions) go to the extent of not renewing. But no disrespect to you Colleague, for taking a different point of view on the matter.Teflon wrote: ↑Tue 09 Jul 2019 3:17pmWon’t renewthejiggingsaint wrote: ↑Tue 09 Jul 2019 2:14pm Well if Scott gets the gig, what do WE plan to do about it?
