Trade with Adelaide
At this stage of the year it looks like we will end up with pick 4 or 5 unless we play the youth and send everyone for surgery early.
What can we combine with our first pick, to convince Adelaide to give up pick 2 aka Noah Anderson?
Could Newnes or Mckenzie do it?

LOL no way.
1/ If you want an elite pick you will have to give up something good. Not players who are fringe in a lowly team.
2/ Also Newnes is also a FA and so has no trade value.
Crows could swap their pick to gain Lukosius from the Suns, if they are still really keen on him, so that the Suns gain both Anderson and whomever they want with the other pick. Crows to also through in a decent player.
Adelaide could also tray and pry Grundy off the Pies.

Pick 5, Jack Steven and our 4th round for Pick 2 and Adelaide’s second round (26-30 or whatever it be)?footynut wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jul 2019 12:28am At this stage of the year it looks like we will end up with pick 4 or 5 unless we play the youth and send everyone for surgery early.

If he desperately wants out....

Re: Trade with Adelaide
So as Newnes is a free agent at seasons end we can discount a theory that our brains trust has finally got smart and have thought the season is shot, play Newnes in the ones to fatten him up for an end of season trade...
No trade value if he is at Sandy....in a bottom 4 team...
Yeah, we can discount that - our 'brains trust' are in name only, not actions !!

Re: Trade with Adelaide
I’d trade 10 players
But you’d get very little in return for all of them, but still needs to happen.
Carlisle, Steven, Ross, Dunstan, Acres, Newnes, Longer, Armitage, Brown, Webster, McCartin, Rice, Pierce, Rowe
All gone
Either traded, FA or Delisted
With plenty of cash
Target
Caldwell, Cerra, Zac Jones, Jack Martin, Tomlinson, McLean, Draper, Langdon
Use draft selections to get Mids
And a new coach
Time to clear the decks and start again!!
This list is never going to challenge, I’d rather finish bottom 4 with potential

Steven has a massive cloud over him. Why would the Crows do such a lopsided deal?ss1986 wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jul 2019 1:16amPick 5, Jack Steven and our 4th round for Pick 2 and Adelaide’s second round (26-30 or whatever it be)?footynut wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jul 2019 12:28am At this stage of the year it looks like we will end up with pick 4 or 5 unless we play the youth and send everyone for surgery early.

Even just as Pick 5, Jack Steven and our 4th round it is a lopsided deal.
No. Crows will use it unless they swap for Grundy or Lucky.

Jack Steven would be an early 20s pick.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Sat 06 Jul 2019 1:22pmSteven has a massive cloud over him. A high 20s in return is unders for him, compensated further by the late pick, in compensation for upgrading Pick 5 to Pick 2.
I don’t think it’s that far off.
