We need NOAH ANDERSON - PICK 2
We need elite mids and Noah anderson or Matt Rowell are the 2 elites in 2019 draft.
To think that DEMONS or CARLTON could again get the elite of elite mids while we are stiffed really suks.
Especially when we have Andersons father at saints
We MUST GET HIM. Tanking must ensue and possibly it already has.
GCS are winning the spoon. We have no fear of spoon. Therefore we MUST lose every game for the rest of year.
DEMONS must beat saints, dogs and get %
CARLTON must beat GCS, saints and demons
It can happen and I pray it does. Anderson is a one ina generation player.
If we can secure Anderson, New coaching staff, have a great pre season into Bytel, Clark, Coffield, King AND TRADE Acres/Rnd 2 for Cerra LOOK OUT in 2020.

I predict that if we take him he will spontaneously combust.
*Allegedly.

Very True. We cant teach or curate players into stars. I reckon at cats or swans or pies or eagles CLARK and COFFIELD would be rising stars everyone talking about.

Re: We need NOAH ANDERSON - PICK 2
What makes that even worst, is that Adelaide have Carlton's first pick. Ok, that's quite funny, but it doesn't help usSMS wrote: ↑Mon 01 Jul 2019 12:23pm

I didn't realise he only played 67 games for us! Thought we had him for longer than that.

Re: We need NOAH ANDERSON - PICK 2
The system needs to be looked at.
Melbourne getting N.Anderson over us is bulls***
Draft should account for 2 years.
Accumulate the total.
This would save top 8 top 4 teams having a bad injury riddled year (temporary losses) and then grabbing too talent away from the REAL bottom teams.
4 + 17 = 21 demons
15 + 16 = 31 saints
fair they get Noah while we left with next best which thisnyear is bad

Great call.
Tanking is the reason that Melbourne and Carlton are such powerhouse clubs.

You have to be fair to Melbourne - not only did they NOT TANK, they were fined by the AFL for NOT tanking.kosifantutti wrote: ↑Mon 01 Jul 2019 3:24pm Great call.

We got to pick ahead of Melbourne and every other club.
We took Paddy McCartin.
First we need to know when to hold 'em, know when to trade 'em.
Then if we trade 'em we need to pick 'em.
That all requires an IQ of over 70.

Carlton getting nothing unless Adelaide drop to last as traded last year and swapped picks with the crows.
Crows may move pick 1 or 2 to Collingwood if Grundy decides to leave.

Re: We need NOAH ANDERSON - PICK 2
Hawks could easily lose every remaining game.
Dees 1-3 more wins
Blues 0-2 more wins
GC 0-1 more wins. I think 0 as Blues to win.
Bulldogs 0-4 more wins. You would imagine 2.
Swans 1-3 more wins.
Roos 1- 4 more wins.
St Kilda 0-4 more wins. Sy Kilda v Dees game will have a large bearing on our ladder finish
Suns with their lowly % look set for 1st pick.
2nd may go to the Crows ( Blues) or Dees.
3rd may go to the Crows ( Blues), Dees or Hawks (Their % stopping them from getting 2nd pick).
I can't see the Saints sliding to more than 3rd pick. 4th pick seems the most likely outcome.
Anderson top 2 seems to be the sentiment.

Re: We need NOAH ANDERSON - PICK 2
I don't know much about Anderson except from what I read in the newspaper yesterday, but we'll beat both Melbourne and Carlton this season - we have already and we will again. Particularly as we play Carlton at the MCG and I think we are starting to play better there than we do at Marvel.
We won't finish second bottom I shouldn't think because we'll also beat somebody like Fremantle here, but we'll definitely finish in the bottom 5 or 6 because we're also potentially going to lose a few matches by 100 points or so interstate unless there is some intervention which radically increases our scoring payload (unlikely).
I am more concerned at this stage at how we are going to replace all of these players in 2020:
Robbo (possibly ret)
Paddy (possibly ret)
Longer
Pierce
Brown (ret)
Armo (ret)
Joyce
The following players would also ask to be traded at the end of the year due to lack of opportunities (and I wouldn't blame them):
White
Rice
It's going to be hard to replace 7-9 players from our list considering I think we traded away our second or third round draft pick this year (might be wrong there)
I really hope Stuv stays, and great news that Gears is going around again. We've missed him badly for most of the year.
We will need to pick up two elite midfielders as a matter of some urgency.

Robbo is hard to replace, and Brown's strength down back is good..probably hard to replace in the short term.samuraisaint wrote: ↑Thu 04 Jul 2019 10:27am I don't know much about Anderson except from what I read in the newspaper yesterday, but we'll beat both Melbourne and Carlton this season - we have already and we will again.
