The Guerra comparison is apt.
Shaped like Guerra, moves like Guerra.
And plays like Guerra in a St Kilda final.

To be fair, most were saying he was ordinary way before he got injured.SemperFidelis wrote: ↑Thu 27 Jun 2019 5:54pmVery ordinarycwrcyn wrote:Wow, an injury gets reported and the wolves come out to rip to shreds the said player. Charming

Re: Dean Kent injured at training
Not a Kent fan at all, the guy is not a consistent AFL standard player in my opinion and I believe he should have been dropped for the Melbourne game as there were players like Hind, Young & Long in the twos who could have replaced him.
Whilst he had an absolute shocker against Brisbane he has held his place in the team IMO since the Melbourne game which was his shinning light as there is no one putting up their hand at Sandy for his spot.
Kent is currently in our best 22 but I'm not sure if that is an indictment on where we are at and our form over the past 6 weeks or if he has improved as the season has gone on but he is a walk up best 22 right now.
My concern with Kent is the 3 year deal, if he is in our best 22 in 2021 god help us because he is a fringe AFL player at best IMO.
Lastly what is going on at training?
Significant training injuries to Steele and Kent in the last week.
Is it coincidence, are they training differently, dumb luck?
Can anyone whop attends training comment?

He's done his job as a small forward with limited opportunities some weeks and in a low scoring side. Facts are facts.
The facts are you put him in a good team he's kicked 20 goals by now.
Its a hard life being a small forward in a poor team

That’s kind of the theatre of mid week footy season.
We don’t know him and we hope he’s smart enough not to read SS. All’s fair in footy banter when our team is playing so badly.

That’s sounds a very nasty injury if it requires surgery.saynta wrote: ↑Thu 27 Jun 2019 12:21pm https://www.afl.com.au/news/2019-06-27/ ... t-training
That makes 15 injured on my count.
Best wishes to the young man for his recovery.

Re: Dean Kent injured at training
Saw the incident. During match sim Kent was on the run kicked the ball and just collapsed. Was in the clear and wasn't tackled. Just freakish. Steele's injury occured in general play during match sim. Just an unfortunate coincidence I think.Joffa Burns wrote: ↑Thu 27 Jun 2019 6:56pm Not a Kent fan at all, the guy is not a consistent AFL standard player in my opinion and I believe he should have been dropped for the Melbourne game as there were players like Hind, Young & Long in the twos who could have replaced him.

Crap. They are saying it's the year. Must have tore it and it requires surgery. We are cursed.
Some people on here need to show a bit of respect to our players too.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Perhaps that shows we can expect quite a bit of improvement?
At any rate he needs to improve. A bit like every other individual at the club.
All the best to the bloke.
*Allegedly.

The afl article opens with "SPEEDY St Kilda forward Dean Kent". Speedy? FFS!
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

If Long is the replacement lets hope he makes the most of his opportunities. I have been a little underwhelmed with his progress. We have been missing Lonie's aggression.

Re: Dean Kent injured at training
Lonie is more like a mosquito. Yes mosquitos can be aggressive but you consider them a pest more than anything. I don't expect Lonie to return with the same blistering form he showed earlier this year. Hopefully it doesn't take him too long to gain his touch and slot straight backk in to the team
We can fill the Kent absence imo. We are struggling in other areas, like the holes in our midfield and our backline hasn't had a chance to be settled
