Says more about Barry's footy nous than it does about Coniglio. Hope we get him, he is an outstanding player in the league's most talented team.HighettMan wrote: ↑Mon 17 Jun 2019 9:56pmIt's what you do on the Grinr app if you don't like someone, you swipe right if you do like them.

Yep 6 years in the wilderness with Alan and no signs of breaking out of mediocre land nail that coffin shut...Impatient Sainter wrote: ↑Mon 17 Jun 2019 7:46pm It will end exactly like every other star we have chased, whilst Richardson is still at the club.

Before throwing the farm at him, have we confirmed that he has a pre-existing medical and/or mental condition?

While I do understand that the Saints do seem to have a penchant for players who do have a pre-existing medical condition I would prefer that they confirm that he does not have one

Re: Saints to throw $1.4M/y at Coniglio
This is the play: $1.4 mill a year for several years (apparently a lot of money). Live in Melb and wear Red White and Black - be the man. GWS will have to match that cornucopia to keep him - neither he nor his manager can ignore such an offer; almost too good to refuse. If he says no I will stay with the matched offer, GWS immediately have SC probs and we get their next best available player and pocket some change. What could go wrong. (Assumption: by then we are showing a good chance of playing finals)

Clever play st Kilda. No deal will be made but now gws will have to pay overs too keep him which will free up other targets. Bravo especially if it's just. False rumour we leaked

AFL Insider says he’s rejected our offer but is still considering offers from other clubs

Geelong's Tim Kelly would fit in nicely with our indiginous boysDJ Higgins wrote: ↑Thu 20 Jun 2019 10:20am Clever play st Kilda. No deal will be made but now gws will have to pay overs too keep him which will free up other targets. Bravo especially if it's just. False rumour we leaked
Offer Tim Kelly $1.25 million over 4 years. That'll help pay for his parents or in laws to come across
We either get him or we pump up his price and prize out a few others
Ben Long is good mates with Brandon Parfitt

If he doesn't want to come, then f*** him.
Same with Shiel. f*** him too.

He just does not want to play as a hb with us. Too much competition for spots.

Well if Cogs has done his ACL today then it throws things up into the air.
GWS may choose to no longer match a UFA offer - Hawthorn will be happy
Cogs may however now look more favoyarably on a guranteed long-term offer on huge money - it might give the Saints a sniff. But also means effectively no Cogs for us for 2020 if it happened.
