Congratulations Armo
Looked like he had his papers stamped, played at Sandy, didn’t drop his head, showed leadership and gets another crack.
I hope the saints fans all get behind him and scream encouragement every time he gets a touch.

Re: Congratulations Armo
Good luck Armo. Win or lose I'm sure you'll come away with your head held high
He'll probably get more touches than Newnes or Sinclair or Kent and will probably win more loose ball contested footy than Sinclair or Sebby or Gresh but once Stuv and Hannas are fit and once Steele is back he'll no doubt be relegated back to Sandy.
I was at Sam Gilbert's last game against North and felt the club could have done things better. Let's hope we don't get the same situation with Armo where the club left things hanging and didn't make an official announcement until after the year was over.
I think it'd be fitting for Armo to get a send off game at the end of the year and it would be great for Sainst supporters to say an official thank you for his service

I predict Newnes & Sincs each get 12-18 , while Armo will get 24-28 and 6 tackles.Scollop wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jun 2019 12:28am Good luck Armo. Win or lose I'm sure you'll come away with your head held high

Re: Congratulations Armo
Is it just coincidence that we are playing in North Queensland and Armo gets a game?
Part of a farewell tour maybe.

Exactly. There is no Selection integrity. There's a skinny 17 year old kid playing for Sandy who hasn't debuted yet but his Herald Sun stats are amazing.
Alan should be sacked immediately for picking Armo ahead of him just because it's Queenslander Round.
Oh and the small issue of an injury crisis and Armo being the closest like-for-like Steely replacement.
QUEENSLANDA!

Richo +other coaches aren't into the feel-good factor very often, and i thought he was playing desperate stakes for his career.
But maybe this time?
Injuries have forced his hand.

Nothing whatsoever to do with Queensland or selection integrity. As soon as I heard that Steele was injured, I knew that Armo would be selected. he absolutely deserved to be too.

Absolutely Saynta, my post is heavy on the sarcasm side, Armo's slection is all to do with the injury crisis and nothing else.

Armo may well contribute in a positive way to a much needed victory. If so will the immature haters recognize the selection?

Re: Congratulations Armo
Our selectors have made some odd choices this season.
But with Steele out and a lack of experienced players I actually think bringing Armo back for this game is an ok move.

As I thought that our youngest players was 18 yrs 11 months, who is this player?

Do they also report the age of players in the Herald Sun these days?
Clearly an attempt at humour that missed its mark.

Re: Congratulations Armo
Logical and well deserved.
Couldn’t give a toss if they’ve given him a farewell trip home.
We lost our best inside mid/tagger, Armo’s form plainly warranted selection, and he’s been and absolute stalwart of our club.
No brainer

It is a bit difficult to give a guy a send off game in the Grand Final.Scollop wrote: ↑Fri 14 Jun 2019 12:28am Good luck Armo. Win or lose I'm sure you'll come away with your head held high
