Changes vs Gold Coast
It's highly unlikely to happen, but I'd be going with six changes this week.
One forced change, four guys need to rediscover their form in the VFL, and one player needs to be reminded he's not an automatic selection.
In : Webster, Acres, McKenzie, Paton, White, Clark
Out : Geary, Sinclair, Young, Coffield, Phillips, Joyce

Re: Changes vs Gold Coast
I was encouraged to see this explanation on the Saints site - so maybe White's an in.
The defender wasn’t flown to China as cover to ensure he didn’t run the risk of going three consecutive weeks without any football after being the carry-over emergency in Round 10.

He has earned his stripes and then some.
If he is left out once again, he should be looking for a new club...I definitely would if I was in his position.

Agree with most but what about newnes? He mAy get the ball alot but he isn't damaging in the slightest.
Long could also be dropped. Bottom line is almost half the team could go down. To sandy and it would be understandable

You'd swear we were overflowing with choice at the selection table guaging by the snooty comments on SS about who should go out.saintadamski wrote: ↑Wed 12 Jun 2019 2:29pmI'm almost tired of mentioning Newnes...he should have been dropped years ago...it's just become a running jokeDJ Higgins wrote: ↑Wed 12 Jun 2019 1:29pm Agree with most but what about newnes? So if most pundits are suggesting 4 to 6 changes that don't include Newnes and you are suggesting Newnes goes out too then who comes in for Newnes?

Long shouldn't have come in for the indigenous round as his form did not warrant selection.
He certainly should not have gone to China and Young should have stayed home too.
Newnes' form has been ordinary for some time but we keep picking him.
Joyce can't stay in the team. Too many errors at AFL level - even for our team.
It's demoralising for the young kids in the twos that keep putting themselves in the frame.
Richo is coaching for his survival in the industry and is not taking any risks. He'll miss the finals they way we're going and he'll be gone anyway. If he cared about the long term future of this list, he'd give the young players games in a position they're familiar with.
Speaking of...What on Earth is Bailey Rice doing playing as a half-forward/forward pocket at Sandy? He is never going to crack the forward line.
Is Hamill trying to win games for Sandy or develop players for St. Kilda?

Long most definitely did not deserve selection. Argueably Young was the same. Newnes, started the year well but has dropped off considerably. I cannot understand why he continues to get games when a week or two at Sandringham could damn well be good for him.
If White does not get a game this week then he never will.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

Hamill is trying to develop players for StKilda, he has most likely moved Rice out of defence so that Sandy can develop quality defenders for the Saints.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Wed 12 Jun 2019 4:05pm

Rice is cooked.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?
