I wouldnt get excited with that win - we are only marginally better than the worst team in the comp. How do we turn it around and start kicking straight on goal? Some of the shots we missed today again were very amateurish. Bruce a left footer on the right side 25 out tries a snap around the body. Long 15m out misses its an epidemic.
They started Long up the ground to get him the game where he got plenty of the ball. Then moved him forward and didnt change it? WTF goes on match does no one have any idea or feel as to which players are on and when they are not?
We are a very poor football team. I donβt post very much, but I have to say that if today is the best effort we can muster against a cellar team like Carlton then I think the Coach must go. Time to look for someone else and please not Scott. Maybe Lenny Hayes.
Rugby League would have to be the stupidest, most moronic and over rated game of all time.
If Long isn't dropped then surely the Coach issue is done and dusted.
watched Long make a weak attempt to man up..twice in the same instance ..standing meters back watching his opponent get the ball twice.
Long was like a spectator ... the coach didn't see this? I would have dragged his arse asap.
Long should be dropped and stay dropped until he is willing to do the hard stuff. He keeps trying to pick someone off with late bumps....prefer he busts a gut covering his man.
That would have to the most uninspiring piece of rubbish I have watched a so far this year. No wonder I'm losing my passion for the game. The AFL should fine both clubs & the people that actually paid to watch that crap should get their money back . Not a happy camper bring on the bye

9 goals against the worst team in the league.
Suck it up!
Winners.
Just another Franko Cotso sale item
Some supporters are content with mediocrity.
Unfortunately I am not one of them.
I think the term 'Supporters' in your case could be a lie, but each to their own. As stated before, today's win WILL NOT help Richo keep the job, he has already been informed of that, so sleep easy.
Watched both games today, Young, Long, Phillips and McKenzie should not be on the plane next week Bruce and Acres should pay their own fare. Give Clark, Coffield, White and Hind a seat. If Geary is available Newnes stops home. Make some changes Richo or step aside for Scott
That was two teams of "professional" footballers we just witnessed. Full time, elite athletes. Hundreds of thousands of dollars running around like headless chooks... Fumbling, dropping marks, missing simple handballs and kicks, not to mention shots at goal. It was nothing short of disgusting to watch.
A win is a win, for sure. I'll take it everyday. But on a football level, that was Fitzroy sort of stuff. Only a handful out of 44 players out there today who seriously deserve what they would be getting paid. If I was that bad at my job I'd be unemployed.

Gresh chose the right game to return to form and play his best game of the year. His ball use was just so much better this week.
Steele was superb again. These two players along with Membrey were the main reason why we won in the end.
Defence overall excellent.
Marshall a good game against Krueser.
Considering how inexperienced the backline is it has been superb all year, save for Josh and Callum being a gift from the recruitment gods we would be stuffed. No Jake, No Jimmy, No Jarryn, No Roberton. WOW.

It's official, our backline is our new weapon.
Agree
Brown was huge. Savage excellent again. Thought Marsh did a few good things. Considering his very limited preparation he's going ok.
Awful game. Again we are left with more questions than answers.
