Who goes out of our defence when Carlilse comes back?
Josh Battle goes forward.
He's a bit taller than Skunk (188 cm, Josh is 194?)
and I prefer him there as another marking target.
He seems to move quickly for a tall guy, and having him in the F50 means we don't need Marshall (as much) in our F50.
Hate seeing him wasted in the back 50.
Far too creative and clever for a backman.
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.
Remember one of the 10 Commandments : Thou shalt have no other team before thee
With Carlisle and Battle in our defence we build around them - and neither Carlisle nor Battle will play on the last line of defence because they are both just too good to play in the last line of defence
We want them across the outer defensive line deploying their considerable skills defending and attacking
Wilkie played as a half back flanker in the SANFL and some want him to play full back in the AFL
No
We need to identify a full back for the future - Joyce?
Battle is selflessly playing defender as we have injuries to other defenders. He will swing forward once Carlisle returns. Hate to say it but can't see Roberton returning not worth the risk to his family so battle is a nice option to have incase Carlisle gets injured again
