UMPIRES THIS WEEK
Prepare to be completely destroyed by the people in green as we play the AFL's number one franchise. After another lop sided free kick count in the first half v WC were the umpires just gifted the Eagles two goals from clear mistakes.

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
I thought she was blatantly biased. Two gift goals and other controversial shots in front of goal to WC.
The only frees we got from her were the very obvious ones.

I want that female back. She is the no 1 ump in the country.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Eleni set some interesting precedents early. Hope she is consistent when shoe is on other boot ( is that right?). I fear she may now have resentment towards our small crowd that tried to help her with some of her interpretations. The moral is when you are a bottom side and have been for years you get nothing. Costs games, costs goals, no good getting upset as its the way things are (to quote R. Fox). Its just another hurdle and reason to actually improve.

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
I don't believe the umpires were consistent between the first and second halves, let alone between games.

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
It’s a cop out blaming (or talking about at all) umpires. Supporters from every single club will tell you umpires give them a hard time. People can’t see passed their own bias, including a bunch on here.

The rules that you only want applied when it suits?
The free on Sheed was as bad as you’ll see.

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
Can't remember Dogs Eagles etc getting nothing when they bottomed out - at least you can see a little bias happening out there...would be easy for the bookies to get at them as the umps are never wrong with their 50/50 decisions - Just a matter of time or is itYorkeys wrote: ↑Mon 13 May 2019 7:41pm Eleni set some interesting precedents early. Sorry Dud, the AFL has admitted Effie was responsible for two bad decisions which resulted in WCE goals, and she has been dropped.

Surely she sues the AFL!
The AFL sanction the deliberate cheating against the Saints by umpires and then she gets dropped for following instruction.
Poor form AFL.

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
Well it couldn't have been 'the noise of affirmation' Saturday night as apart from the cheer squad behind the goals it was a one-sided crowd.
Going by this article it appears that she paid a 'string' of howlers, including at least two which directly led to Eagles' goals. And if that is what they will publicly admit how many goals did she really cost us?

But Dudley said the umps were great and those outraged needed to simply learn the rules! I don't get it!

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
Rare for them to admit to a 'string of poor decisions'.
More curious is to them all being one way, and against the home side.
If it happens again this week AR should just walk the team off the ground until they can get their act together.

Never said they were great, said they’re irrelevant. I do think it’s better when fewer free kicks are paid. Swings and roundabouts. Haven’t heard much on here the last month when we’ve had the rub of the greentedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Thu 16 May 2019 12:07am But Dudley said the umps were great and those outraged needed to simply learn the rules! Umpires make mistakes every game, umpires are dropped every week, they’ve only highlighted her for one reason...

Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
Yes they highlighted her because her mistakes won a game for a team. Also her mistakes were so biased that she had to be dropped.The_Dud wrote: ↑Thu 16 May 2019 10:47amNever said they were great, said they’re irrelevant. Re: UMPIRES THIS WEEK
Goal incorrectly given as a point as it was incorrectly adjudicated to have been touched off a West Coast defender when it came off Long's boot.
That's three goals they cost us - and what did we lose by again? 3 goals?
