Re: Votes v Eagles
5/ Josh Bruce - yep, I'm overrating him again (along with all the other people voting...bloody armchair experts)
4/ Luke Dunstan - yep, the coaches plan of keeping him out of the side for the last few weeks worked
3/ Jack Billings - Finally realises he needed to be a man among men. Love his courage in the contest these days. Always had what it takes to be an A grader but unfortuantely he had to work it out for himself. I say unfortunately because I reckon he would have done it two years earlier at another club
1/ Blake Acres - Love his toughness. Copped a whack (which should earn McGovern a fine) and got winded from it and then went on in the next five minutes to hurt the opposition with his contested marking and damaging disposals.
1/ Shane Savage - Love his run and his attitude and effort this year. Great banana sausage roll from the pocket too
1/ Josh Battle - Tough kid. Would like to see what he could offer in the middle one day
That gets me thinking about our mids compared to theirs. Shuey and Yeo are so much bigger and heavier. We should be trying guys like Battle and Darragh Joyce in the middle. Mix it up with Kent, Bruce, Membrey and others helping out the guys like Dunstan and Steele. Does Seb Ross need to be managed next week?

When all the West Coast c**k hea-- stop texting me I will make an informed decision . I guess it's my fault I was confident before the game started & should have been a little more realistic with my expectations, but that's the life of saints supporter

Re: Votes v Eagles
C'mon saynta. Where's your votes? Hope you are well but I reckon perhaps you have a dilemna. You are looking at those stats and you're thinking you 'need' to have Seb in the votes. You want to have Seb in the votes but we all remember a couple of times in the match how angry we were with his turnovers.
I understand that many people look at the stats to give votes, but when you have a serial offender it becomes deflating for team morale. It's difficult to reward scrappy football, especially when he is an outside mid and he should be hitting up his team mates slightly easier than the extractors and the mids who are tagged

Re: Votes v Eagles
Interesting. Only two people gave Ross votes (a total of 3 votes so far) despite having the most possessions (31). Is that telling the coaches anything?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

I'm just thinking of Sainter_Dad having to trawl through all the non voting posts, including this one.

Re: Votes v Eagles
I dont care about the text only comments - what makes it harder is when people slab quote the votes and the make comments. If you are going to discuss a particular vote - please just quote the line you are disputing - such as 2. Ross.....
It is easy enough to edit the quote - if people are unsure PM me and I will send a brief rundown of the important pieces in replying with a quote.
