Ben Long?
Seriously I know you shouldn't single just one player out but I am struggling to see any positive actions from him tonight. I think we need to let someone else have a go.

Re: Ben Long?
Like a lot of our players, way too inconsistent.
I fear he’ll head down the path of most of our young talent, failing to be developed properly after very promising early signs.

Re: Ben Long?
To be honest he shows a bit kicks the odd brilliant goal & has X factor but I’m still yet to see any consistency needs to be dropped !

Re: Ben Long?
Long is still very young and out of form. Needs to be dropped along with Parker. Both had ordinary nights.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Waaaay too inconsistent.

Re: Ben Long?
He brings X factor & we need that but we can't have Parker & Long having minimal impact over a entire game . The forward line structure is severely flawed Membrey is too small to be a kick & hope type of forward, on the lead he is great but our disposal is terrible so that always going to be a problem .Bruce can take a contested mark but needs to be with in around 40 metres out straight in front to even trouble the scorers. Bottom line is get a game plan that we can work with because what I've seen so far this year it is not sustainable if we continue to re invent the wheel

Re: Ben Long?
I love Longy but unfortunately he needs to play with the Zebs next week - just not doing enough at the moment and seriously needs to lift his intensity. We either replace him with Hind or Young next week.

Definitely!!! Mobs of potential! But both need a spell in the twos.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sat 11 May 2019 11:09pm Long is still very young and out of form. Needs to be dropped along with Parker. Both had ordinary nights.

Re: Ben Long?
He needs to develop his game in a way that sees his contribution be more than just the brilliant.
Needs to find a way to get more of the ball. 3 touches is just abysmal even for a FP.

Re: Ben Long?
Hmmm I'd be almost inclined to keep him in the side. He seems to like the big open spaces of the G. Or least he looked pretty dangerous there against Melbourne.

Re: Ben Long?
Laid a couple of great tackles and seems like he was robbed of a goal.

No he was not robbed of a goal.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Sun 12 May 2019 1:40am Laid a couple of great tackles and seems like he was robbed of a goal.
The TV replay clearly showed the Eagles guy got his foot to ball and Long's kick hit the back of the Eagles guys heel.
He simply does not get enough of the ball.
When you are playing in a VFL grand final and you get marked by one of the opposing sides bottom 6 it is not hard to appear a star.
When you move to the AFL the quality of your opponents is totally different.
Long is not AFL standard YET.

You’re now putting ideas in Richo’s head!
Any meek excuse to play him again will do - even a suggestion on an Internet forum.
Life ban for you from the whole of the internet’s if he gets sleelcted next week

Hind is quicker and in form. Let's release the Hind on that space please.Sainternist wrote: ↑Sun 12 May 2019 1:19am Hmmm I'd be almost inclined to keep him in the side. He seems to like the big open spaces of the G. Or least he looked pretty dangerous there against Melbourne.

Wasn’t fit against Adelaide and I’m not sure he’s right now. His manic pressure has disappeared.

Re: Ben Long?
Without commenting on Ben Long I'll follow Sainternist's lead. I can see the same people wanting Long dropped this week as piling onto Richo for not playing him on the wide open spaces of the MCG. His speed will be much needed in any attempt to curb the Pies.
