Well done Ben Paton
The marketing department has let us down this week. Dave...Claire...
Being country round and all, I thought there'd at least be a 'shout out' to a country lad playing for the R W and B.
He is playing some excellent footy for the Saints in only his second year at the club.
Also, well done to the recruiting team with pick 47 in the 2017 draft

I like this dude.
He's tough, fast and has VG skills.
He'll also get better.

Re: Well done Ben Paton
I thought he was caught out a bit against GWS but otherwise has been very good. I'm not sure what his role is in the long term, but he is certainly outperforming other players taken much higher than him in recent drafts.

Re: Well done Ben Paton
Needs to keep playing. Well done to the club for developing a kid and getting a good one with a later pick. He is technically 1 year ahead of Coffield, Clark, Claravino as he played as a 19 year in the U/18's.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Would like to see him tried in the midfield or forward.
He has a lot of skill, looks like a smooth mover and can finish on goals. We lack these types but what we don’t lack is half back flankers

I'm tipping Doulton Langlands will have a similar effect when he finally breaks into the side. He is a serious player,Viscount Jeremiah wrote: ↑Tue 07 May 2019 2:15pm Would like to see him tried in the midfield or forward.

My only knock on Doulton is can he win enough footy. He certainly has all the other attributessaynta wrote: ↑Tue 07 May 2019 6:22pmI'm tipping Doulton Langlands will have a similar effect when he finally breaks into the side. I think he can. He is still only 19. Paton is only 20. Both are 187cm . That's nearly 6' 2" in the old terms. Langlands is about 4k's heavier.
As SaintPav stated above they are both big boys . They both play on ball at times in the ressies.
Langlands has come on in leaps and bounds this year. Pity he has been missing for a couple of weeks with concussion
These kids along with Clark, Coffield, King, Battle, Marshall and Bytel, are our future.

Re: Well done Ben Paton
What are a ‘set of pipes”? Am I correct in assuming you are referring to his lungs...... and therefore his endurance capacity?

Re: Well done Ben Paton
I recently went to a Human Nature concert, where a young asian girl off the X-Factor was the support entertainment. She also sings with the boys on one of their CD's.
She has been described as "having a great set of pipes". She can really belt out a tune.
I don't know if Doulton can sing though.

Hope you’re right... have been a big fan of his since the start. Hope to see him get some game time soon.saynta wrote: ↑Tue 07 May 2019 6:22pmI'm tipping Doulton Langlands will have a similar effect when he finally breaks into the side.
