2 matches now i have watched Acres have to ruck after a goal in the middle and everytime it results in a clearance to the opposition.
I like the idea around the ground however they did it once against Hawthorn , who got a goal without us touching it., it nearly cost us the game. I remember Bruce pushed himself in to the next centre bounce and Acres then switched back afterwards around the ground.
Yesterday we got killed in the middle and it was just worse when he was at centre bounce.
Throw a Bruce. Battle, Membrey anyone with a little bit of size who can jump and compete in the middle and then push straight forward and switch with Acres around the ground, otherwise we are gifting the clearance to the opponent , especially with the 6 6 6 rule its too big a loss.

Yep, happened in the Hawks game too. Acres contests the centre bounce and 20 seconds later there’s a goal to the opposition.

Does Richo view the ruck position with as much disdain as Grant Thomas used to?
Acres and Bruce are utterly wasted by being thrown into the ruck. It doesn’t even rob Peter to pay Paul.

We're 2nd in the comp for Stoppage Clearances.
We're 17th for Centre Clearances.
I honestly believe we should just play an extra mid at Centre Bounces and not even.contest the ruck. We couldn't be worse off.

He disliked lumbering ruckman who were useless around the ground. Tried hard to get Dean Cox to the Saints.
