Yep, that would be my guess.vacuous space wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 8:28pm Probably just Marshall and Young in for Longer and Lonie.
I don't think Richo will be looking at doing wholesale changes. Never seems to unless forced to with injuries. It would disturb the team balance too much. We have been playing better when the team plays together.

In: Marsh, Hind, Young, Marshall

Alternative is Pierce comes in for Longer and Marshall goes forward.

Re: Changes vs GWS
Yeah I'm with you minimal change except for injury . Bruce looked injured so maybe he misses & Longer stays , Marshall if fit goes forward & Young or Hind comes in for Lonie.vacuous space wrote: ↑Sat 27 Apr 2019 8:28pm Probably just Marshall and Young in for Longer and Lonie.

Re: Changes vs GWS
No. According to tony74 he was 50/50 to play and therefore carried an injury into the game. And didn't he show it.
Please Richo stop playing half injured players.
Sandy having a bye this week is not helping us to decide possible inclusions.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Stupid call. DMac was easily one of our best. Eddie did a few good things but largely unsighted.

Re: Changes vs GWS
Lonie is definitely out, so Hind is a logical replacement.
If Bruce is not 100% fit he should be out, I'd like to see Battle forward and Joyce or possibly White into the back line to replace Battle.
If Marshall is healthy, he should come back in probably at the expense of Longer.
Long & Kent are on thin ice, Hunter Clark, Dunstan or possibly Coffield potential replacements.

Re: Changes vs GWS
While I would not say no to that we are going to really, really, miss Lonie.
This year he has slotted in Gresham's role of last year with Gresham playing more midfield time.
However Lonie has been also running more around the ground that Gresh did and is constant harrying and in the face play is something that our other players do ot offer.
I love Hind's speed and want to see him at the top level, but with the way Lonie is playing Hind will not be like for like as Hind is more inside.
Lonie does not have a direct swap in such has been his form and the gamestyle he plays.
Kent has had enough chance. The Dees was his only good game and the Dees were soft, slow and lacked run. So Kent was off the leash. Other teams have not been that friendly and Kent in the other games has been a fumbly player.
DEVELOPMENTAL YEAR
I personally believe that this year should be about developing our younger players and so over the course of the year I favour playing and rotating our younger and fringe players to test them out and develop them.
This week.
Kent for Hind or Young
Lonie for Clarke
Longer for Marshall
Bruce (if injured) for Joyce (Battle to play forward)
If Bruce is injured I think the club may go:
Kent for Hind or Young
Lonie for Clarke
Bruce (if injured) for Marshall

Re: Changes vs GWS
Out: Longer, Lonie,
In : Marshall, Clark
If Bruce doesn't come up then Marsh comes in .
Leave Battle back as need stability in the back 6.
Kent was bad yesterday but 7 days ago was in best 3 so unfair to drop him after one
Senior player probably needing to perform next week is Sinclair.

Re: Changes vs GWS
Agree with Marshall for Longer and Lonie obviously out. I haven’t seen enough of Sandy to know who should replace him.older saint wrote: ↑Sun 28 Apr 2019 12:04pm Out: Longer, Lonie,

I’m also concerned about who plays on Jeremy Cameron. He could seriously torch us. He’s probably too quick for Battle and Brown. Maybe Bruce goes out with Joyce coming in and Battle going forward.

Re: Changes vs GWS
Bit concerned about how Brown played yesterday- big guy, experienced, but just seemed to be in the wrong position too many times and let the Crows forwards get a few too many easy approaches at marking contests. Battle is still learning and will only get better. Might be worth a big punt and bring the mobile Marsh in to run with Cameron- if the guy was selected as an emergency for the Crows game, then he's ready to go IMO. The midfield needs a reality check after yesterday, and maybe Dunstan returns for Sinclair, Lonie out for Hind, and Marshall back for Longer, and Bruce out for Marsh.

Kent has had one very good game in 6 and that was in our easiest game of the year. The other have mainly been poor.older saint wrote: ↑Sun 28 Apr 2019 12:04pm

Sinclair has had only 1 bad game. Yesterday was like most of the team off his game, but was still ok and better than Kent. So has been a lot more consistent and a good contributor in all but one game.
So I am not sure why you seem to be a lot harsher on Sinclair than Kent?

Re: Changes vs GWS
The Sandy watchers seem to be saying that he is still not quite fit enough. So if he plays, and he may as we may need another tall option, he may have to have a lower TOG.
Joyce on the other hand is very fit with excellent current endurance and pace.

Re: Changes vs GWS
I also hope we leave Battle back - he's really growing into that role and I think can become a super player for us there. Quite Rance-like. But I thought Sinclair played pretty well (in fact I just realised I left him out of my votes).older saint wrote: ↑Sun 28 Apr 2019 12:04pm Out: Longer, Lonie,

Re: Changes vs GWS
Not harsher but have higher expectations. Was poor against Essendon and Fremantle so to me is 50/50 at best in regard to performance expected from someone with 70 games experience.saintsRrising wrote: ↑Sun 28 Apr 2019 1:00pmKent has had one very good game in 6 and that was in our easiest game of the year. Not saying should be dropped but needs to lift IMO
