Pav’s prediction
Going early but my prediction is that the final 8 at the end of round 22 will not change.

Kidding me. Is this the twilight zone?

At the end of round 22 so going one round early.

Re: Pav’s prediction
Predictions for the final top eight are (in my humble opinion) simply harmless fun. Nothing wrong with it whatsoever.......... until folk start getting upset that they have been proved wrong or others want to score personal points over another poster. Round 23 is WAY too far off for the old Jiggster to be making predictions for the final top 8 standings. A couple of seasons ago Sydney lost their first SIX straight! and still made the eight! As I say, I read these threads with interest and amusement. Have a good one Folks!

Re: Pav’s prediction
The next 4 weeks (3 games against genuine contenders) will tell us a lot about where we're at and we might be without the Skipper for most or all of that. Hopefuly that gives opportunity to Brandon White, who's simmering at Sandy. The kid looks in good knick and can seriously play.
We're also going to get a bit of respect now and other teams will pay more attention to how to break us down. They'll start sitting on Billings for example. Let's see how we deal with that.
I'm confident we'll compete in most of them. We've gone up a level (expected in 2018) in consistency. If you include the JLT, its 7 consistent games. The most I've seen from this List in the past (20016/2017), has been 4 successive sort of consistent games, followed by a slump.

Dons to be done for injecting again and so Hawks sneak into the 8 for the finals.

If I'm completely honest, and consistent with my thoughts pre-season, I'm more than happy to see the levels of aggression and energy at the contest being shown by the boys so far this season. There is absolutely NO way, that I'm going to allow myself to get carried away with our (current) win-loss record and ladder position, to the point where I'm booking a date with the tatooist to get my "premiership tatt"
I'm just SO pleased to be going along to the game to enjoy a footy game! let the season take care of itself! GO Saints! GO!!!!

Re: Pav’s prediction
I would be a little cautious about writing-off the Tigers and the Hawks.... even Sydney and the Bulldogs as non-appearances in a final eight at such an early part of a 23-round season. Richmond are getting Jack back this week. Hawthorn will regain injured players. Sydney? well history is littered with the "experts" who have written them off in the past. WAY too early to "bookmark" a final top 8!!!!! ...... In my Humble opinion of course!

Dockers are flying and sit in the top 4 most of the year, until the final few rounds when the coach's sphynctor does the usual tightening and they end up finishing 5th. That means they have to play Hawthorn in an elimination finalsaintsRrising wrote: ↑Tue 23 Apr 2019 12:39pm

The Hawks coach does a number on Toss Lyin and Freo lose at home and are knocked out by an undermanned Hawks line up

Re: Pav’s prediction
I thought you were taking the p155.
"the final 8 at the end of round 22 will not change" (I thought you might have meant round 23) and, ergo, of course it won't change as it is the end of the home and away season.
Did you mean at the end of round 5 or 6? Or were you taking the mickey?
