Re: Team for round 4
So a defender is carrying something injurywise: Steven for Clark; Paton for Sinclair. Encouragement for Long.

Sinclair was named rover. He is in the side I'm assuming. It's usually the blokes on the bench that get trimmed off. Very odd given Sinclair didn't get a kick last week. Is that an error?
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Agree, with Long and Steven the obvious inclusions I would have picked Kent and Sinclair to go.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Thu 11 Apr 2019 9:49pm Sinclair was named rover. With Sinclair and Parker named in the 18 you’d think they’ll play and as you have written the bench normally is trimmed.
Assuming Steven & Long come in it leaves Kent & ??? As the outs.

Re: Team for round 4
a team has to trim the bench only.
If they remove a player from the starting 18, the AFL hits them with a fine.
Not sure how much.

That's my thinking too, but Paton and Joyce were the traveling emergencies to Perth last Sunday. Would be a bit hard on them not to play them two weeks running.

I know but the back line seems to be pretty solid so I can't see Joyce getting a gig unless there is a injury issue & to be brutally honest don't know too much about Paton . I would like to see Long but not at Clark's expense so I'm torn .So I'm staying with my gut (getting bigger by the day) feeling only one change Steven for Kent.

How did a bloke that got 0 kicks and 7 handballs get a game the next week...let alone start in the guts!

Re: Team for round 4
No second ruckman against McEvoy & Cigarlar so obviously 8cres must be staying in the team as a bit of height when playing in his out-of-position forward line.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Re: Team for round 4
The only certainty for me is Steven in if fit physically and mentally. Most likely for Kent imo as he got a poor review two weeks ago and then was average last week.
It depends if Richo and Ratten have laid down the law to Sinclair Kent Parker etc. This is your time to step up. Another game like last week and off to Sandy for a rest

Re: Team for round 4
I love Parker but hope he is dropped to give him a reality check the boy needs.
Whilst I hope we can beat the Hawks (I’d give us a 40% chance at best), I’m worried about getting smashed by a rabid Dees outfit who are just finding some form. We need Parks forward defensive pressure for that game big time.

Agreed. Sinclair got a promotion after zero kicks last week. Weird.

Re: Team for round 4
What’s the point of announcing 4 interchange and less than 24 hours making the final announcement 2 whole days before the game?
