Shout out to Brownie
Went in hard in a 1-1 contest on the wing.
Copped a knock.
But was still able to retrieve the ball and move it on before limping to the bench.
It led to a goal.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
His opponent was Jesse Hogan, right?
If so, he gave that bum Hogan an absolute thrashing.
I loved the way how he recovered from that heavy knock. He still won the contest and offloaded a handpass, if I remember. Tremendous dedication shown from the veteran defender.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
Thank god we kept Digger Brown on the list and list management didn't listen to the haters. Brown has been good for our footy club.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
2 years ago, against the Roos, Ben Brown and another big fwd were benched for a fair part of the game,
and the commentators said that our Brown and Carlisle had rendered them impotent.
NJB always give supreme effort and dedication-
he might only get a handful of touches,
but he torched Hogan today, didn't let him off the leash.
Checked AFL site, for stats, NJB did 12 one-percenters, the highest in our team.
he's damn good value

People finally realising how important he has been and still is, to our team?

Re: Shout out to Brownie
OK, I'll admit I felt Brown didn't make sufficient contribution, his game yesterday was solid.
Likewise I've critical of Billy Longer, hopefully he can prove me wrong as well.

What about Gearbox?
His first half was epic!
Kept us alive in defence.
Freo by rights should’ve had a lot more scoring shots had our defensive efforts not been so incredibly effective.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
Hogan should be reported for that incident. Elected to bump, got him high, and forced him from the ground.
One week penalty.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
This was his best game in recent memory. I wonder if he feels the pressure of guys like Battle, Joyce, Clavarino for his spot in 2020.

Hogan has been fined for the bump on Brown.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
Full of admiration for Nathan Brown as he put in an enormous pre season and got himself supremely fit. I thought he was pretty close to hanging the boots up last year but he's now transformed his body, the fittest he's been in years and looks like he could go on for at least another 2-3 years....on ya Brownie

Re: Shout out to Brownie
Geary was brilliant, kept us in the game in the first Half and more importantly, used the ball well when he got it. Showed why he is the skippersaintspremiers wrote: ↑Mon 08 Apr 2019 8:36am What about Gearbox?

Re: Shout out to Brownie
If they are saying comtact between Hogan’s shoulder and Brown’s head wasn’t accidental, why is it a fine rather than a week’s holiday.
Cost our bloke 20 minutes in the rooms and at first glance I thought it worth a week, despite the apologists in the commentary box.

Re: Shout out to Brownie
The 6-6-6 rule certainly assists a player like Brown as one on one or two on two contests seem more prevalent.
Agree Brown has been really solid & dependable but he has horrible iron hands when marking.

Perhaps Hogan can plead he was drunk at the time.bigcarl wrote: ↑Mon 08 Apr 2019 9:31pm
