He says we erred in picking up Hannebery. Says we knew he had issues with his body etc, etc

Re: No Joshing.
No prizes for Mick, IF a club official stated they didn't know Hannebury had hamstring issues that would reflect VERY badly.
As far as I am aware, everyone in the galaxy knew he had been injured for 2 years and on a significant downturn, output wise, because of his injuries ( maybe the injuries occurred because he was ageing, slowing and attempting to do what he used to, thus causing injury, who knows) AND he was NOWHERE near his peak or best and no indicators were present that he would ever be the player he was previous, it's called ageing and injury performance limit.
How could anyone argue against this? His stats prove it.
This does not mean he was a poor selection by the club. Although he was IMO.
He could have come on strong, maybe help lead and guide young players. Plus the reality we needed a "marque " signing to validate our relevance to other potential marque players ( this IS actually a team management strategy many sports use).
I do wish him well and hope next year when he returns he is able to impact the score!

Re: No Joshing.
Coming from a bloke that took an overpaid and hapless Daisy Thomas to the Carlton footy club. Then made a multitude of blunders in recruiting and getting rid of good players.
On ya Mick. You have a very short memory mate but I understand you know get paid to talk s*** about footy.

Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

I think he is simply pointing out the blindingly obvious to everyone apart from a small minority, including your good self.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sun 24 Mar 2019 1:47pm Coming from a bloke that took an overpaid and hapless Daisy Thomas to the Carlton footy club.
