Smart piece of business we showed confidence in the boy at his lowest in his first year recovering from a major knee injury this will buy his loyalty long term being a saints man.

Re: Max King signs to 2022
Fairly common nowadays to re-sign draft pick early. It will take at least 3 years before we can judge how he will play and if he is any good, most likely longer as he is key forward. Nice work club

Its what he wanted when he was asked to get his brother across.
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

He is considered by many as the number one draft of the year. We also think he is the best. The 2 year extra signage should be celebrated, not white-anted.

Re: Max King signs to 2022
Be interesting to note what they’ve done with his money...
one has to imagine that this comes with a pay increase for signing, how much would be interesting to know
And to be honest, I think that it’s reasonable that some eyebrows are raised. We don’t exactly have good recent form in our preemptive signings as of late.
Richo was re-signed early
Armo and a bunch of players that we wanted to delist 12-24months back were locked in for longer deals then they deserved
Hannebery’s deal looks questionable at the moment too
I think Freeman got an extension as well before he even played IIRC
Am not overly concerned about the King signing but we haven’t exactly distinguished ourselves in forward thinking as of late

Re: Max King signs to 2022
Smart Move. Pre knee injury was rated the likely number one selection at that point in time - scary after seeing Walsh's JLT form.
Also good to sign him whilst there are positive vibes i.e. preseason. The place might blowup on Sunday night if we are 0 - 1!

Very happy to extend him. Grab his brother in two years and we're back in the game.
Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Re: Max King signs to 2022
As long as we don't pay overs. What did Port pay for Polec? What did WCE pay for Yeo?
It would be fantastic for the brothers and it would be a good sell for the marketing team at St Kilda, but the focus should be centred around drafting, developing and recruiting genuine mids. I'll be stoked if we focus our efforts on developing a quality midfield as good as the top teams from the last year - Collingwood, Richmond, West Coast, Melbourne. The other 3 that are looking good are Adelaide, GWS and ...hate to say it...Essendon
