Below are players out of contract end of this season, some obvious stars to be renewed such as Gresham & Billings & I am sure Marshall will be a priority sooner than later.
Carlisle with his back becomes an interesting negotiation, if Roberton & Mc Cartin retire how are their contracts handled re pay outs & salary cap space?
Who is under the pump to be at St Kilda in 2020?

Re: Re: Coming out of contract end of 2019
Geary - resign
Armitage - needs a really good year, don't think he'll be at the club in 2020
Carlisle - resign, heavily performance based deal to encourage his rehab, we've paid him a lot of money for 39 games over his initial four year deal.
Gresham - blank cheque time, must resign
Newnes - resign, but another who needs a good year, he's better than he showed last season. Durability is a big plus.
Dunstan - needs more strings to his bow, needs to be better than 15 touches in 60% TOG. Signing depends on deal
McKenzie - resign, but needs to get on the park more.
White - something is not right here - has plenty of tools but cant play consistent AFL. Might be gone.
Rice - genuine GOP, wouldnt play AFL in a top 8 team, we need better options and he might be on the block
Sinclair - resign, depth player now though
Billings - offer a deal, either he wants to be here or not. Don't want the club to back up the truck to convince him to love the place. If he declines, then take the Bombers to the cleaners or he can go to GC in the pre-season draft (not sure if this even exists anymore but the idea is right)
Savage - resign, max 2 years. evolution of game (6-6-6) make make him super important.
Marshall - resign, need KPF depth with ??'s on Paddy's future
Brown - 1 year deal if he can play 16+ games this year
Longer - resign, expect him to be no. 2 ruckman behind Pierce this year
Pierce - resign, really excited to see what Pierce can offer over a full season
So I've got Armo, White and Rice in trouble. Will be an interesting off-season cause I'd expect a new coach would be making these changes.

Longer, Savage, Pierce, White, Dunstan, Rice, Newnes and McKenzie have all had long enough.
By the end of the season if they’re not clear top 22 players that will be part of our next push into the finals, the majority should be moved on.
Should take a miracle for Armo to stay on the list

Re: Re: Coming out of contract end of 2019
I'd be hanging on to B White and giving him games at senior level to see if he can fill a void if Gears, Jimmy or Savage are injured or down on form.
DMac got opportunities because others were injured last year and he has shown that he can play a role, so he's a keeper. Newnes, Savage, Dunstan and Longer should all know their fate by years end. If they bust a gut and play well, we should keep these guys imo.

Re: Re: Coming out of contract end of 2019
There won’t be mass changes. None of those guys will have any trade value, and we’ve already traded away our 2nd and 3rd round picks. No point delisting a guy like Newnes if you’re gonna replace him with Pick 100.skeptic wrote: ↑Wed 20 Mar 2019 4:31pmWay to generous IMOSt Chris wrote: ↑Wed 20 Mar 2019 4:08pm Geary - resign
