I am happy to do it - but as there has been no replies than I guess not!

I think the club is forfeiting this season due to hopelessness. Maybe we could choose another club to follow and keep this time honoured tradition going while the club is in hiding.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Mon 11 Mar 2019 10:26pm Saintsational Player of the Year again for 2019?

Re: Are we doing ....
Voting for the player of the round is an important part of the forum IMO.
It is always interesting to see how different posters rated different players' games.
I realise it is a lot of work and your efforts Sainter_Dad are much appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Are we doing ....
yes if you are willing to take it on
but lets make it simple for the scorer and make it 5 to 1 points and not variables
there always seem to be some who will go 4 3 2 1111 or 3 3 2 111
KISS

Re: Are we doing Player of the year Voting
We sure are!!!!!The Fireman wrote: ↑Thu 14 Mar 2019 2:38pm are we doing threads with headings that don't describe the threads ?
Because once you post a thread - you cannot edit the opening thread for titles or anything!!!!

Re: Are we doing ....
Very happy to do it - I do not mind the variable voting as long as people accept that it devalues their top vote - and they keep to 15 votes!
What makes it more difficult is when people quote others votes when they are arguing and I end up with many posts all referencing the same set of votes.

If you had given it a proper title, I would have opened it immediately and said yes.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Thu 14 Mar 2019 8:17am I am happy to do it - but as there has been no replies than I guess not!

Re: Are we doing ....
lol - really - because the thread had about 200 views before I re-opened it and said that as there were no replies I was doubting interest - since then I have had more responses - but point taken!kosifantutti wrote: ↑Thu 14 Mar 2019 3:39pmIf you had given it a proper title, I would have opened it immediately and said yes.Sainter_Dad wrote: ↑Thu 14 Mar 2019 8:17am I am happy to do it - but as there has been no replies than I guess not!
Mods - can you amend the title to:
"Is anyone interested in voting for the Saintsational Player of the Year in 2019??"
Although as people have expressed interest - I am happy to do it - it just seemed only a hard-core group bothered voting last year!

Re: Is anyone interested in voting for the Saintsational Player of the Year in 2019?
I love voting, and thinking about how I'll vote, and seeing how other, less perceptive posters cast their votes.
And when SD is late in tallying them up I tally them up myself, just to see.
Not sure I can survive the winter without SPOTY actually.
SD, I agree that we must stick rigidly to 15 votes total, but that variable voting can make our assessments more nuanced and precise.
I would say just don't tolerate anyone that gives half votes, or ambiguous lists of names, etc.
Very much appreciate your work,

I am happy to vote and agree that votes should tally 15 with some variation allowed, but no half votes and a maximum of 5 to any one player.

Yes -- I obsess about my votes so much they have to be right.saynta wrote: ↑Fri 15 Mar 2019 3:59pm"Less perceptive posters"avid wrote: ↑Fri 15 Mar 2019 12:57am I love voting, and thinking about how I'll vote, and seeing how other, less perceptive posters cast their votes.
