Still no club. Can he coach?
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

I think he is now resigned to the fact that his playing career is well and truly over.

Re: Goddard. We interested?
Definitely a yes, more so in a Hodge-type role than anything else.
That'd be massive for the club as it seeks to restore standards and credibility.

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.

Re: Goddard. We interested?
I think no, at Bris they were all young in the backline. Hodge gave them direction.
Our starting backline would prob be Geary, Brown & Carlisle, hopefully Roberton who are senior players
throw in Savage who does Goddard replace? Play him also and no young players develop for another year.
I cant see him being happy not playing while others get opportunity unless he was just a coach.

Skills/development coach? Wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
I have a feeling he will back at the Saints one day. Not playing.

Re: Goddard. We interested?
What’s the situation with mature rookies?
To be honest I’d take him over player number 38 even if just to play him at Sandy all season and have him provide a presence around the club... pinch hit if needed
Help out with skills

And point and blame teammates? No thanks!

Re: Goddard. We interested?
A few influential senior players revolted against Watters when they were basically told they need to pull their fingers out. BJ was shopping himself around for quite a while- wanted to play finals asap.

Re: Goddard. We interested?
If Goddard perhaps had a better role model as captain in his time at the Saints maybe he wouldn't have developed those behaviours
Can I ask; were you in support of Nick Riewoldt when he'd flap his arms and point and sulk if the ball wasn't kicked to him at times? I think Rooy became a good captain and mentor after the pressure to play finals was lifted when he realised that the club was in full rebuild mode. Probably around 2015 and beyond
Maybe BJ was always going to be like that because of his frustration at getting so close to being a premiership player and maybe Rooy had nothing to do with it. Maybe both have become more mature after becoming dads
I feel like we won't be playing finals in the next couple of years and the pressure and expectation would be different. BJ won't need to be the guy driving standards but he certainly will be great for the younger players to impart advice and as a mentor. I believe he will be mature enough to have learnt from his past mistakes and he won't need to get as frustrated and as angry as the guy who was still aiming to get another shot at a premiership medal

I don't think so, but many posters feel that he is no longer welcome back based on his "theatrics"
