No thanks
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Kid can run, is quick and get the footy, but his disposal isn't that flash and is inconsistent.
Townsend or Lonergan might be better options.

Who would he push out of the Geelong midfield...Ablett, Danger, Selwood? Until one of those three pull the plug, nobody will get that gig.

Geelong is a hard midfield to crack into but that fact they don't want him as a depth player worries me. I'll pass as we don't want another average player. And lets be honest if their coaches couldn't get him up to speed we have no chance

He's better and had a far better career than Minchington. Going on that logic and as several supporters are unhappy Minchington has been delisted, we should take Murdoch as a replacement.

Apart from our first selection, Max King. You could almost classify him as a mid actually given that he is so mobile for a big man

Wasted list spot, why bother? He’ll take games away from younger players that need afl senior experience & delay their development.

106 games in six years at a club that has been one of the mainstays of the competition, don't think would be such a bad pick up. Nice size with strong body could help whilst some of the younger blokes build.

Need a bit of insurance- not a lot of the younger guys are going to make it- a few will, but can't totally go down the youth path.Myron Gaines wrote: ↑Fri 02 Nov 2018 10:36pm Wasted list spot, why bother? Agree with that, but he’s also had a far superior career that Kent. Using your logic we should grab him and dump Kent before he starts.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Fri 02 Nov 2018 6:57pm He's better and had a far better career than Minchington. Actually no for me, he’s as hard at the footy as Scrimshaw, no thanks.

Murdoch may have been more sucessful than Kent so far, but Kent has far more upside.

Agree with you Ted if Kent can get his injury problems under control he will be very handy but he hasn't been able to do that at Melbourne lets hope he is not our next Nathan Freemantedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sat 03 Nov 2018 8:47pm Murdoch may have been more sucessful than Kent so far, but Kent has far more upside.

Re: Saints join race for Murdoch - ex Cat
I think Murdoch would be ok for us and he's a pretty good footballer, but he's just another victim of the list turnover process of any club.

Shane Birss wasn't too bad either, obviously had a falling out with Lyon.SaintPav wrote: ↑Sat 03 Nov 2018 9:22pmThis is a little disrespectful to Koby Stevens.mad saint guy wrote: ↑Sat 03 Nov 2018 11:19am Another Colm Begley/Shane Birss/Dean Polo/Koby Stevens. Do not want

Anyways...Murdoch...inconsistent, except normally did quite well against us, I hope we're not falling victim to Stockholm Syndrome!

Is weighing up between Saints and Suns atm. We have offered him a contract though, along with Suns.
