Re: Steven may
Stephen May, or may not. He's wanting money, and lots of it....and he won't be coming to us or Carlton. He's had enough of playing in a poorly performing team.

Re: Steven may
Don't think we can use a future 1st as we used future 2nd for Hannebury. Would have to trade in a future 2nd or seek permission from AFL. Not really sure though.
Certainly not pick 4.

May said any Vic club...is someone lined up? I've only heard Melbourne.
Posters that have admitted they were wrong about Hanna's gastro and the club didn't create a cover story.

Re: Steven may
All parties willing, it'd be tempting to trade pick 4 to Adelaide for picks 8 and 15. Then pass on 15 with Weller to Gold Coast for May.
Steven May for a four spot drop in the draft would be a very good result.

Re: Steven may
May and Carlisle would be one of the best defensive combos in the league. Would trade our 2019 1st round pick and Newnes/Weller/Lonie/Savage for May and a 3rd round pick (this year or future). 800k over 5 years should get it done.

Re: Steven may
With our cap space, we could probably front end all of that to 2019 alone

I am sure there is a total dud that we have our eye on.

Re: Steven may
The problems are he is contracted, he will be a free agent next year and Gold Coast will get a first round compensation pick (probably pick 2-4) for him next year if they keep him now. So why would they get rid of him for a pick over 4? As I see it they can keep him for a year and probably get pick 1 and 2 next year. So if he moves this year it will needs to be a very, very early pick.

Re: Steven may
I would rather go to the draft with pick 4 than have May.

Re: Steven may
Agree, would you trade 2 first rounders for May? That is at the least what pick 4 is worth in the current climate, and that may be more as the draft period proceeds. No way.tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Tue 16 Oct 2018 6:58pm I would rather go to the draft with pick 4 than have May.
