Lade = Probably ok, but does not have huge wraps
EDITED..O'shaughnessy
Gallagher Salesman hired from a bank. No experience at what he was hired for. Did once kick a footy for the Crows though.
Hannebery = Past star, but can he be a future star? As long as we do not pay more than a second rounder I am comfortable with it.
Kent = As a late pick is ok as has the speed and outside game we lack
We are coming from a long way back and need to outperform just to try and catch up a little.
Personally I feel we need a FA like Liberatore to catch up more. While Shiel would be good he would have to cost us dear trade wise and so becomes somewhat of a neutral acquisition though does address our lack of elite midfield talent which is important.
We still have our two most senior football positions filled by people that do not inspire confidence in our Director of Coaching and Senior Coach.
Overall the changes are not enough in comparison with what the best teams are achieving.

Very new here, but some of the obsession from a minority with my posting is a bit odd. Still don't know why I keep getting referred to that silly French sport either.
Anyway, back to trade fortnight. Hopefully Dan and Dean slip to us very soon.

I drift between Ted either taking the piss or believing his/her own bulls***.
Whichever one just keep up the great work Ted, very entertaining.

Yes my bad:
Darren O’Shaughnessy : Like Ratten and Lade has no L-Plates for role he was hired for and looks to be a good acquisition.
Gallagher = Salesman hired from a bank. No experience at what he was hired for. Did once kick a footy for the Crows though.

Re: Lethlean comments re: Trade Period
For clarification to an above poster.
#Gallagher played AFL footy for the Crows and a ton of SANFL footy. He would know more about footy and list management than anyone on here.
#O'shaughnessy has been on the Hawks books and under Al Clarkson for around 7 years from memory. That says something. He is also the top guru in his line of work.
#Hannebrey is A grade in all areas. Not just on a footy field. A+ leader.
#Kent has been unlucky with non related injuries the past 2 years. Melbourne desperately wanted him in their finals run. Got injured last game. Can really play.
#Ratten. No words required.
#Lade. Great assistant. Only left as he wanted his family back in Melbourne. Also comes from a great era at Port as a player.
#More to come both staff and player wise.
#Unsure on Shiel right now, but he would be a bonus.

Justifying his appointment by stating that he has more experience than people on a football forum is just comical stuff. Hopefully Lethlean does not think like you.

Guys don’t be too hasty to write Ted off.
Clearly his name gives it away, he has travelled back in time purely to update the forum that things will happen. Unfortunately he can’t give specifics as Rufus will ban him from using the phone box again.
As someone once said “strange things are definitely afoot at the circle K”
