Today got me thinking re the the AFL - when I saw some person with a banner in the crowd with dates of the west coast premierships - 4 since 1994 (?)
It just got me thinking will the afl ever give a sh1t about us ? As long as some team from each state in the comp is wining a GF at least every decade - who cares about battling Victorian clubs - as long as a Victoria team wins 4-5 times a decade ( minimum) who cares if some of those teams haven’t won for 50 years ???

Maybe if we stopped believing we are the peasants and stop being afraid to rock the boat - supporters/sponsors/AFL/opposition/Free Agents may take us seriously.

True. Saints have appeared in quite a few finals series since 1994, four GFs, just haven't won one, and that is the difference.

Of course we are small fry.
We are the most irrelevant club in the comp besides the Suns. The AFL doesnt give a s*** about us. Has been like this for 100 years. We are minnows.
Which is why we need to be making smarter decisions than everyone else and not sitting around being trend followers hoping mummy and daddy in the AFL are going to bail us out and save us from our own incompetent decision making.
We need a few people with big money to come in and really lead the place. Just like Butters did (before he self destructed).
Simply meekly copying and following the leaders like we are doing now isnt going to get us anywhere in what is a very competitive comp.
