Podcast - The Greatest Season That Was: '93

Post: # 1755967Post Sainternist »

This is probably the best footy podcast I've come across. I believe the presenters/producers were initially looking to publish a book about the 1993 AFL season and its significance historically and relevance to the modern game, but instead their idea transposed to this beautifully presented podcast. Each episode is devoted to reflecting and analysing a particular club's overall performance from that year. Although we tend to look back on 1993 as a half-glass-full-half-empty season, the Saints episode is most compelling, with our good friend and footy journalist, Bruce Eva as the special guest in the discussion.

I had forgotten about the Molly v Jess confrontation.
That's why we all love Molly.

Peter Jess was an absolute tool.
The man could only be described as a total F'Wit.
This pony-tailed incompetent wanker got into Nicky's head and totally led him astray.
As a player manager he was inept, a liar, totally unprofessional, irrational.

I remember having a drink in a pub straight after the Vic Park game and the mood was ecstatic as we genuinely thought this could be our year.
Within days Jess had the club in total crisis and all the momentum was lost.
Ultimately what Jess did destroyed our season when it looked like everything was coming together.
To this day I hold a grudge against this moron who should be treated with TOTAL contempt by all StKilda people.

Yep, he also led Dale Weightman astray to Richmond when he was meant to be recruited to St.Kilda. I think he's the brother or cousin of Jim Jess. He's a total arsehole for conspiring against. I reckon I'd have to restrain myself from slugging him if I saw him in a public place. What a pony-tailed weasel!

Couple Jess with that obese lying criminal lard arse scum thieving piece of s*** Rob Hessian and you have a duo worthy of loathing and hatred.

PM me Rob if you post on here and I’ll give you my name, you’ll then know why I call you a lying thief.

He's Jim's cousin - Peter Jess's father (Bill) was a great man..Peter unfortunately let his ego get ahead of the man - fame/fortune/money whatever
